A very comfortable and elegant pencil.

The pencil had clearly been used before, as when I took off the end button to replace the stock leads with my favourite leads, the eraser was dirty and used. The only reason I'm not going through the fuss of a replacement is because it's a pencil at the end of the day, not an electronic or grooming item. I just wiped it down with a Clorox tissue but I paid for a brand new unused pencil, and that's what I should have gotten. The pencil itself is very nice. Makes me dislike the first owner a bit for rejecting it lol.

今回の購入で2本目です。初めて買った1本目は、書きやすさに圧倒されました。我ながら上手に書けるからです。ペン先が長く、書いた字が見えやすい事、指先のゴムグリップのお陰で、しっかり狙った通りの字が書ける事に感動しました。さすが、人気の高いシャーペンだと実感しました。あいにく不注意から1本目のシャーペンを硬い床にペン先から落としてしまったため、ペン先から芯が出なくなってしまいました。やむなく後継機種を選定せねばならなくなったのですが、使い勝手の良さから、このシャーペン以外考えられず再度購入するに至りました。値段が手頃なのも魅力の一つです。引き続き、第一線級で愛用させていただきます。

This is my favourite mechanical pencil that I own, easily. Pentel really made something special with this one. The nose cone shape is quite unique and that plus the grip makes it a very accurate pencil with the way that I hold it to write, and the excellent balance. The pips on the grip could be more pronounced but the grip is still pretty good. The balance and weight feels very good to me. It's hard to describe but it just has a feeling when using it that all my others lack. There is a huge assortment of colour options available elsewhere if you don't like the ones Amazon has. I wish they would carry more.

Phenomenal. I waited almost a year and a half to review this mechanical pencil. It is a very strong drawing/writing tool, yet it has an excellent weight balance, lighter than heavy. The overall design is uncomplicated which lends for an easier grip regardless of what position the pencil is held. The tip is strong enough to hold a lot of pressure, while at the same time providing enough space between the lead tip and the gripping area (where the fingers rest) which allows you to see your line work for drawing or writing with clarity and precision. The tip is also 100% stable, it doesn't wobble or pull out too much lead which results in frequent breaking. The materials are of great quality, well put together and can sustain a lot of wear from traveling, dropping, water, etc. Another great feature is the elegant design, makes you feel like you are working with a truly professional element and does not wear out and look like a cheap mechanical pencil. And well the best thing is that the price for such a great tool is really fair enough that if you lost it, you didn't break the bank, and if you manage to keep it for a long time–like I have so far (which is rare)–this Pentel will pay for itself use after use.
