It works directly off a Raspberry PI
I spent a couple of weekends trying to get one working for the Arduino with no success, This came plugged into to Pi and heyy presto. No fiddling around nothing, works like a dream too.

Good board, poor connectors.
Got this for my PI automation project. Connects, works fine, python samples for single relays on their site can be easily used for this multiple relay box. However, only three stars because of the poor material and design decision for the output ports. A normal 10A multiwire used in power cords/splitter is a pain to insert in the holes without gently soldering tips of the cable and lightly pressing the tip of it to flaten it a bit. Then, the screws used to firmly fix a 220V cable in place (with light twisting force applied) are flimsy that feel they will break. To my surprise the 5th relay had a screw already damaged so it turns continuously therefore I can't use all ports (risk to have a 220V sliding out or imperfect contact is huge). Tips: Be careful when connecting AC wires so the little inner stripped wires don't slide under the holes to touch with other side wires accidentally. Strip a half cm portion, twist wires a bit if multiwire is used and gently solder the tip to keep wires together. (Lot easier to use single wire). Don't solder too much as heat from an overload/short etc can melt solder and you'll have other bigger problems. Use a multimeter to triple time check connections and gently pull wires to make sure they are fixed in place. Make sure all wires that comes out of it are properly fixed inside an anchored multi wire extender otherwise things can be pulled easily out from the board/ripped apart. Make sure the board and the extender are placed on screws with plastic nuts so the board is raised (avoiding anything under the board to cause a short, including liquids or condensate, plus think that ventilation under it is good - don't push it after in the middle of it being too long it can flex and break connections). Place it in a box for protection. If it will heat, use a 5V fan on the box cover. Waiting for it to see how it behaves in one year time. Have fun!

De calidad, barato y seguro
Este Shield es de muy buena calidad y además facilísmo de utilizar: Conectas Vcc y GND y luego las salidad de tu arduino(u otro microcontrolador) a las cuatro entradas disponibles. Cabe destacar como otros muchos usuarios, que la lógica es invertida; es decir, cuando la salida del arduino es HIGH, el relé esta apagado y viceversa.

Perfect for isolated control of electronics
I am using these relays to control LED strip lighting. The controller operates on 5VDC and the lights require 12VDC. These relays provide a perfect solution. The optocouplers provide an added level of isolation. The relay coils operate on low current 5VDC. The output contacts can handle high current loads of different voltages. There is a set of NO and NC contacts for each relay. Each relay is operated independently. I recommend this product for anyone that requires isolation between the controlling circuit and the output load.
