Brilliant remote which should improve with firmware updates
Had this a little while now and it's been really good so far. Battery lasts a good while and I love that it's rechargeable. The find feature is great too. I don't like hundreds of buttons and before I got this, would mostly use a Chromecast remote, so this one is a nice transition that still has a minimalist feel, but is able to control lots more stiff in the room. if you have other Switchbot devices, you can control them. I have it setup to open and close the curtains and turn the fireplace on and off, which feels... "premium", for lack of a better term. I'd love to see it integrated with Home Assistant which would allow me to turn my lights on and off. It could do with some updates to add some more icon options to the customisable buttons, and to make the edit functions consistent across all device types, but these are minor issues in my opinion. Overall it's great. Easy to use once you have it setup, great form factor, feels nice and is especially good if you have other Switchbot devices in the room.

Read this before you buy.
The only good thing I can say about the product is it looks nice. Set up is confusing and nearly impossible to understand (and I run an AV business). Something as simple as getting the off button to work on my samsung display doesn’t work. Couldn’t find any way to pair it with a Firestick even though it’s advertised as supporting them. I tried to get my head around the poor app, but frankly have given in. It looks like the only way I could get it working is to learn of the IR commands but this is not easy and then won’t work with Google Home. I wanted this to send commands to multiple devices via a single button. If this is possible goodness knows how do do it. My personal view this is a poorly executed product and would avoid buying. Just returned it, so I guess the only thing I have lost is 2-hours of frustration trying to make it do what I want.

Impressive Remote
Decided to purchase this remote after getting tired of seeing 5 remotes on my coffee table... This lil remote has replaced them all!. Admittedly it was a little tricky to setup at 1st but once you get the hang of setting devices up via the hub..then syncing to the remote its great!. I now have it set to control my tv/sky box/media box ,hdmi switcher, led lights and finally my curtains😁. You can even setup scenes like i have ...so my bedtime scene turns everything off and also closes my bedroom curtains as i have there curtain kit😁. Great...wish id bought one earlier ..recommended

Decent Idea, But Compatibility Issues
I had high hopes for the SwitchBot Universal Remote Control with Hub Mini, but unfortunately, it didn’t work as well as I expected. The setup process was straightforward, and the app is easy to use, but I ran into compatibility issues that made me return it. 📺 Not Compatible with Virgin Media Box – This was a big disappointment for me, as I mainly got it to control my Virgin TV box. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get it to work. 📡 Difficult to Set Up for LG TV – While it did recognize my LG TV, it was a struggle to find the right remote profile, and even when I did, some functions were missing or unresponsive. ✅ Good Concept & Works for Some Devices – It did control a few basic IR devices in my home, like an older fan and my soundbar, but the lack of wider compatibility was frustrating. I can see this working well for some people, especially if all their devices are supported. But for me, it didn’t cover the essentials, so I had to return it. Decent product, but check compatibility before buying!

Wouldn’t connect to WiFi??
While this looked nice and seemed the best remote to replace my aging Logitech Harmony, unfortunately I could not get it to connect to my wifi. I have connected loads of things without fail but this remote proved to be extremely frustrating. Reset multiple times. WiFi router set to different settings but nothing would work. Returned for a full refund.

Brilliant remote
Brilliant remote, I have replaced most of my remotes with this. Looks great and is really easy to set up, it’s great to be able to recharge the remote rather than having to replace batteries. The user interface is really good and works really well with my devices

Honestly genuinely annoyed Amazon are selling this rubbish...
Have a Harmony Elite and recently had issues with the touch screen so instead of buying a used one on eBay I thought I would try this. I noted the reviews but thought enough time has passed since it released to get to grips on the software. Boy was I wrong. Firstly it is not intuitive at all, it's just an app and it's terrible. Harmony has an app and a pc app and both are brilliant. Then it does not recognise most of it's qr codes so everything has to be done manually. Then it says it recognises remotes but then the suggestions don't work. Instead you have to look up the model of your device and I could only find 1 out of the 3 and the others I just chose the nearest model I could find. One of the ones I could find the exact make and model for did not work at all at which point I packed it up to send back. Honestly genuinely annoyed Amazon are selling this rubbish...

Easy to use and good battery life
I’ve been using this a month now. It’s easy to setup and configure to your needs. I added custom volume signals to my sky tv controls to control my unsupported stereo. The battery life is really good, and no issues.

Absolute garbage.
I bought this remote because it was cheaper than competing products and from a well-known brand in the home automation industry. Big mistake. My experience with this product was awful. Set-up is extremely frustrating and there are some glaring limitations that are impossible to work-around. First, you will need to install the SwitchBot app on your smartphone. Then, you will need to sign up for an account - giving them a name and e-mail address to attach to all the data they're harvesting from your phone and sending over the internet to 15 different tracking companies. The app requests access to Phone, Camera, Microphone, Media, Files, GPS Location, Nearby Devices, and Notifications. Nearby Devices makes sense as it will need to pair with both the remote and the hub via Bluetooth, but the rest seems excessive. You will need to set up your remotes in the app with the Hub before syncing them to the universal remote. It can be used as a standalone device once set-up, but it cannot be configured as a standalone device. There are 3 ways to add your remotes: Make/Model lookup - i.e. take your TV off the wall and check the sticker on the back. (there is no make/model lookup for the model# of your original remote) Smart Matching - using the hub to learn one button and it'll supposedly figure out the rest. Learn individual buttons - The painstaking process of learning 40+ buttons one at a time. Smart Matching was 100% worthless - it didn't work at all. Make/Model lookup works, but may be incomplete - you'll have to still add some buttons manually. Learn individual buttons is the most reliable, but slowest process. It will wait up to 15 seconds to learn each button, and the hub may take that long to enter learning mode, resulting in a timeout and the need for a second attempt. Then you'll have to test the virtual button via the hub before saving it. This means spending several minutes learning each remote. Now that you have your remotes in the app via the hub, you can assign them to the universal remote. The app claims this process will take 1-2 minutes, but it is more like 5-10 minutes. Making any change to the remote profile or button assignment afterwards will require the full 5-10 minute re-sync to update it. There is no way to just "save changes". The more buttons/remotes you have, the longer it takes - even if you only make a single change. Now for the biggest deal-breaker: The app is extremely inflexible about what buttons you can assign where. Number buttons have to be in a sub-menu of soft-key "A". My TV remote has a "0" button, but it gets assigned as "10" and cannot be assigned to "0". My TV remote has a "-" key for entering channels such as 12-3. SwitchBot does not provide this key. It can be added as a custom key, but custom keys can only be placed in the sub-menu of soft-key "D" and cannot have any icon other than "○" (blank circle). SwitchBot only provides a fixed template for a basic set of buttons for a dumb-TV remote. Pre-made profiles only include those buttons. If you need anything else, you're going to be learning via the hub it as a custom button and dealing with a lack of icon and limitations on where it can be assigned. My amp has no number keys and a button for every source instead of a "source" button. The make/model template included a non-working numpad and none of the other buttons on the remote aside from the arrow keys and volume control. I would have to essentially learn all the buttons manually as custom keys and live with them being shoved into a sub-menu of SwitchBot's choice. If only it had the ability to assign any function to any button and put any key in any menu, it wouldn't be so awful. Now the next problem: Want to turn on the TV, change the volume on the amp, and change the channel on the cable/sat box? That'll mean selecting a different device from the menu for each action. (The virtual equivalent of picking up another remote.) Your cable/sat/streaming box remote lets you use the power and volume functions for the appropriate devices. To do that here, you'll have to spend the time to use the "Learn individual buttons" process all over again to make a Frankenstein remote with the buttons you need from each remote - one at a time. There are "scenes", that let you perform multiple actions with a single press, but they can't be assigned to buttons - they must be selected from the main menu. The fact that using anything other than the dedicated power, volume, mute, or ch +/- buttons is so frustrating, means you'll be keeping your other remotes around - which defeats the purpose of a universal remote. A remote with a screen and soft-keys should offer infinite possibilities for customization. Instead, it is handicapped by garbage-tier software and an awful setup app. I will be returning this remote and I will never purchase another SwitchBot product again. Also, I have not found a way to fully power down this remote. It wakes up the moment it is picked up, so I guess I'll be shipping it back turned on an they'll be getting it back with a dead battery from getting jostled around in transit.
