A Must Buy Ice Machine!
I just love this ice machine!! I upgraded from the bullet looking ice maker that only makes 8 tiny ice cubes every 8-10 minutes to this one and it produces a lot of ice and in a great amount of time. It is also very easy to set up and use this machine, you can use a small bottle or the container that it comes with to put water in. They are big square cubes 🧊 of ice and every time they fall they break apart. This ice machine is a great investment and upgrade. I have a household of five and we all use ice every day a few times a day and I can make ice for about 4 or 5 hours and we have back up for about 7 days.

Square ice is better than the bullet ice makers
I was a little worried about buying this because the reviews are hit and miss. Unfortunately the first one I got had an issue with the motor and started making a really loud noise. Amazon replaced it and so far the replacement has held up much better. It doesn’t make much more noise than any other counter top ice machine. I only really notice the noise when I’m in the same room but that’s only if the room is quiet. This machine makes square ice cubes and spits them out in a chocolate bar shape that you can break up into individual squares. The speed of the ice deepened on how thick you want it to be. I normally make my ice on the thickest setting, so it takes about 20 minutes. The ice is really good as long as you use filtered or bottled water and clean your machine regularly. I often get ice cubes that are completely clear! I try and clean mine like once a week but sometimes I let it go to two weeks. I keep it running to prevent mold or mildew growing in the unmoving system during this humid Texas summer. My opinion on the durability is mixed since my first one didn’t last two weeks. However this one has lasted about a month so I’m hopeful.

Makes ice, summons demons
I’ve had this machine for exactly 60 days, which is apparently the precise lifespan of its will to live. It started out as a promising little countertop companion, quietly producing ice like a loyal frozen beverage servant. Now? It sounds like a garbage disposal trying to eat a bag of marbles every time it attempts to make a fresh batch. The grinding noise is so aggressive and mechanical that I genuinely thought a tiny construction crew had become trapped inside the unit. Every cycle begins with optimism and ends with what can only be described as the death rattle of a haunted blender. And let’s discuss the ice itself, because consistency clearly wasn’t invited to this party. One batch comes out looking like elegant little crystal cubes fit for a luxury spa water station. The next resembles damp aquarium gravel. The texture and thickness are wildly inconsistent, as though the machine spins a wheel every morning to decide what form of water it should take today. Some cubes are thick enough to survive the next ice age. Others dissolve faster than my patience while listening to the machine scream through another grinding episode. For something whose entire purpose in life is to freeze water into reasonably uniform shapes, this machine has developed an impressive identity crisis in only two months.

Great ice, Instructions BLOW
So, the product works fine. It makes great ice! Except for the first round when starting the machine, the ice is virtually clear and definitely makes a difference in the appearance in cocktails or whiskey (etc). The ice thickness is settable. I found that a 3 or 4 suited my needs. I was able to run the "self clean" feature, make ice in different thicknesses and empty it when I was done. All in all, I would buy this again. For the money, it's a nice tool to have. The reason for the 4 stars is that I found the instructions hard to follow. It's almost like they tried to make these instructions difficult, because there are about a bazillion other ways that would have been more clear and about a quarter of those; more concise. Some detail notes: 1. This is not freezer and will NOT indefinitely store the ice it makes. It makes ice. The frozen ice helps to maintain the cubes, but they will start to melt. The warmer the ambient outside machine temperature, the faster this will happen. Recommend to harvest the ice placing it your freezer as soon as the ice making cycle completes. The melting ice water is recycled through the machine to make more ice, but it makes ice faster than it melts - at least at 70 degrees F. 2. It comes with a scoop for the ice, but not sure why that is necessary. 3. It makes approximately 16, 1 inch cubes at a time. At level 4, I found these to be solid cubes. Level 3 had a slight indent on the top of the cube. 4. The ice is solid, not crunchy at level 3 or 4. I didn't test it at a lower setting, but if you're looking for "crunchy" "bullet/pebble" ice, this isn't the machine for you. They sell those machines, but it is a different machine.

Excellent Machine
The refrigerator ice maker crashed years ago, and I wasn't inclined to spend a lot of money on it. Since then, we buy two big bags of ice and run through them in a week, often still needing a couple of ice trays. In South Texas the two of use a lot of ice and would have liked to have used more but for fear of running out. No fears like than now. I think this machine could keep up with a large family in a warm climate, so long as someone kept the water tank filled. The product has been exceeding expectations. I can fill the old ice maker bucket every day with ease. I'll probably only run it all day about every third day. I could easily make and bag a LOT of ice for an event. I had increased the ice making time which is how you increase thickness, but have cut it back. At the maximum time, the sheet part of the ice that connects the cubes was too thick and hard to break. I cut the time back, and it makes blocks that fall apart when I drop them in the freezer bucket. It has reliably suspended operation when the bin is full and started right back up when it was emptied. And stopped when the water tank ran out and started when it was filled. I was easily able to force an ice dump. You can certainly hear it. Some compared it to their dishwasher. Maybe they had quiet dishwashers, but it's not nearly so loud as the last dishwasher I owned years ago. It's only a bit louder than the microwave. The ice has been high quality, pretty clear with just water from a Brita pitcher filter. This is in every way easier and more efficient than I expected. The ice bin will fill up long before there's much melt. It keeps frozen well, considering that the bin is not refrigerated.

Great value for cube style ice
Love this ice maker! I previously had a bullet-style ice maker, and it was fine, but the ice melted very quickly, both inside the unit and in drinks. This takes a little longer to make ice, but it makes actual ice cubes that last longer, and the ice basket is much deeper so the ice takes longer to melt inside the unit. I cut it off before bed and when I get up in the morning, there is still ice leftover in the basket. I would repurchase this item over a bullet-style ice maker in the future. I had considered a nugget ice maker, but felt that this was a better deal for the price. In regards to noise levels, I think it is comparable to the nugget ice maker I had previously. I don’t find it loud or distracting, but you can definitely hear it running.

Would buy again!
Works great and glad we bought it. We use it almost daily, to fill up our freezer ice box. We don’t store ice in it but use it in place of buy ice. Ice size is great and it will make a row of ice in about 10 minutes.

Most reliable ice maker we’ve owned
This is the greatest countertop ice maker ever. Cubes are bigger than any other counter top we have had. Ice is always clear, machine is easy to clean, cubes come out every 8 minutes in two rows of 8 and are very easy to break apart. I like my water very cold so I put 2 rows of cubes in every morning and when I clean my cup out the following morning it still is half full of ice. We put a 10 cup Brita pitcher in every couple days. Can make up to 35 lbs of ice a day and when needed it will make cubes in 6-7 minutes.

Not functioning properly
Worst purchase ever. Doesn’t make any ice cubes and useless thing. It’s a quite massive size but main issue is not working properly and pouring water instead of ice. Needs to throw it away unfortunately. We bought this one for the office to have ice cubes for coffee, but nobody liked the way machine works.

Is it just my machine?
I am very in the fence with this ice cube maker. I love the external tank and that the sleeve of ice fits perfectly in my cup without having to break it up. BUT I don’t know if I have a faulty machine or not because the noise it makes while making ice is horrid. It is so loud you can hear it almost everywhere in the house, it even vibrates my cupboards. Anyone else have this or should be returning the machine?
