I recently started studying the upright bass after playing electric bass guitar for over 40 years. This chart is spot on for sight reading as most bass books may not have tabs that are used for electric bass. Tabs are a guide to figure out fretted notes. My middle-school age daughter has switched to playing double bass at her school orchestra, so I ordered these to help her become familiar with the note/finger positions. It's a single large laminated page with the correct information, and is ready to use when she needs to refer to it. They have a similar poster in school too, so this worked out great.

I like the set up on this chart. It's easy to use an read . Was very helpful for my sne who is learning bass.

This product is good for a person that has a basic understanding of music, (i.e the structure of scales-major, minor etc. who wants to increase their ability to play the double bass.

Not much to be learnt from the double bass books, but this chart is a must, not so much for the position but for identifying the notes and bars. Personally I wouldn't be without it. Its a must.
