I have not used this on a sander before. It really reduces the dust in the room and there is no going back to a sander without it,A good companion for working with a Henry hoover, use the better quality bags.Well designed and a no brainer, Good way to keep you healthy with very little dust in the air.A little expensive but works with the Black Decker orbital sander and their Palm Sander, Thoroughly recommend this product,

fits well, just make sure it's pushed fully in, then twist to lock.

Unfortunately still needed couplers to attach to vacumn cleaner nozzle. But when used saved alot of dust

The inside of this adapter is threaded. You can unclip the retaining ring of a Numatic Henry hose nozzle, remove the nozzle and then easily screw the hose into this adapter. It’s a good fit. If you need to do this often then it is perhaps best to buy a separate Henry hose for this purpose.

The De Walt sander attachment is ideal. It jigs straight onto the sander, no fuss, and minimum dust. Happy all round, job on!

I have no issues works as it should. This attaches to your hover/shop vac hose this screws on anti-lock wise it is interchangeable seconds between your different Dewalt tools

Step 1: Buy DeWalt vacuum cleaner to work with DeWalt tools.Step 2: Discover DeWalt vacuum cleaner is not compatible with DeWalt tools without this adapter.Step 3: Discover that this DeWalt adapter must be fitted to the DeWalt vacuum cleaner by cutting off the original attachment tool.Step 4: Discover this DeWalt "universal" attachment tool is not compatible with the other DeWalt vacuum cleaner attachments.Serious, DeWalt, this is completely unacceptable. I will be returning both the vacuum cleaner and the attachment for a refund. You should not be selling incompatible products in the first place, let alone selling so-called UNIVERSAL attachments that don't even attach to the vacuum cleaner that it's designed for!The only choice is to either throw away the vacuum cleaner attachments, or give up on using it with power tools! Why didn't you just make the hole a little bit larger so that it plugs in without having to cut off the original attachment? The mind boggles.

I am a woodworker and own a variety of sanders, dust extraction is an important safety aspect of woodworking Dewalt overlooked this aspect when designing this sander. The dust bag is easy to install and remove but unfortunately does little to collect sawdust. This is evident when you turn on the sander and see a cloud of sawdust spit out from the machine, to make matters worse the connector for the bag is proprietary and a standard vacuum hose will not fit over this. I got tired of wearing a dust mask while sanding and wanting to improve my safety I picked up a Festool CT 15 dust extractor. This works great for my Bosch 6 inch dual mode sander but would not fit my Dewalt that I use for my final finish sanding. after taping the hose to the bag connector I was about ready to switch to a bosch sander when I came across this connector and decided to give it a chance. This thing works great, my festool hose slides right into it and stays tight, yet is easy to remove when I need to switch between sanders. This little connector is overpriced for what it is, but it's worth every penny. My sander no longer spits out a cloud of dust every time I turn it on, and it will prolong the life of the battery as well. Would I buy again? Yes I would, it's solid enough that I should never have to though.

Lots of folks (including me) having trouble getting this to work with the 5" orbital sander. The mechanism is stiffer to twist and it does not matter what orientation it goes on the sander since it spins freely once it's locked on. Push it all the way on to the same depth as the original bag, then twist. I assume it'll get looser with some time, but it does work.My hose is not spiral, it's concentric rings. I pulled off the original tip and then screwed the hose in. Seems to hold up ok. The whole thing works wonderful and is all locked together.
