Leukotape P Strapping Tape

I’ve used this for both heavy workouts and long, demanding hikes, and the biggest positive is how well it sticks. Once applied properly, it stays in place instead of gradually lifting at the edges as soon as you start sweating or moving around a lot. For hiking, I’ve found it especially useful on areas of my feet that are prone to rubbing. Applying it before a long walk has helped protect those spots and reduce the chance of blisters developing, which makes a big difference over several hours on your feet. It is a rigid tape, so it is not soft or stretchy, but that is really the point. It feels secure, gives good support and holds up well under demanding use. I’ve had no problems with it shifting during workouts either. Definitely a tape I’d keep around for anything where ordinary sports tape or plasters are likely to move, loosen or get sweaty.

Brilliant for supporting joints and muscles. Very adhesive therefore needs some special skin cleaning after removal to remove adhesive remnants. Was advised not to use for more than 5 days at a time as can cause skin irritation. This proved true. Would still use again. Very good product

I bought this tape initially as I was recommended it to prevent blisters on my feet when running from chafing, it does a brilliant job and is super secure. I recently dislocated my knee and decided in my infinite wisdom to strap the kneecap in place with the leukotape. It held it well and meant I could sleep without a splint. The issue came when trying to remove it, overnight it had welded itself in place and wouldn't come off for love nor money without plucking each individual hair from my leg one at a time, I tried soaking it to no avail, and adding nail polish remover to break down the glue to limited success. I eventually got it off and felt a little sore, but a few days later I had the worst shave rash of my life with the entire knee bright red and itchy for 72+hours!

Have used this for years in my army career, great for strapping and can keep it on for a few days, without reapplying, it doesn’t peel off or roll up if it gets wet. Great for joint stability as it has a less elasticity. This has saved my ankles from rolling on many occasions. I have used this is lots of different environments and has never let me down. Only thing I would say it take it off slowly and soak in a warm bath when taking it off.

Great bit of kit for hiking. I use this for wrapping my feet on longer walks and it’s been spot on. Once it’s on, it really stays put, even with sweat and miles of walking. It’s quite rigid and doesn’t stretch, which is exactly what you want for support and preventing rubbing. That’s basically what it’s designed for, stabilising joints and protecting areas from strain or friction I’ve found it especially useful for hotspots before they turn into full blown blisters. Only thing to be aware of is it’s very sticky, so take your time removing it or you’ll know about it. Overall, simple, reliable, and one of those things that earns a permanent spot in the hiking kit.
