Professor Abdul Rahim is the director of the Translation Centre of the King Fahd Quran Printing Complex and former professor of Arabic at the Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia. Professor Abdur Rahim's eight-volume texts enable the student to acquire a knowledge of Arabic in the classical structural form. All of the books teach essential language skills through applied grammar. Each lesson is based on a conversation which illustrates distinctive language patterns. A variety of exercises helps the student to understand and master each of the patterns occuring in the lesson. The vocabulary ranges from classical and Quranic Arabic to words and expressions current in modern Arabic. This series of books is currently being utilized at various schools to prepare students for the University of London (UK) GCE O-Level and A-Level examinations. Review: Good quality - Well printed and arrived on time Review: An excellent starter book in Arabic - This is an excellent adaptation of the original Madinah series for children which I have taught to adults and my own children. The English notes are an useful addition for parents without Arabic but ideally a teacher is needed to maximise the benefit of this series. The first book goes easy on the grammar, but subsequent parts in the series could overwhelm a young child with the increasingly rapid focus on grammar. I would suggest doing parts 1 & 2 and then using other books to widen acquisition of vocabulary as opposed to working through the series in order.

GREAT BOOKS!!
These books are GREAT! As an Arabic mum I was keen to teach my children a proper Arabic as we live in the UK and they struggle with Arabic language. I bought the first 3 volumes in the beginning then bought the rest of them as I found them VERY USEFUL and the children are improving!

The best Arabic book for non English speakers!
I teach Arabic at Sunday school and I chose this book after careful consideration and months of research for so many Arabic books. This by far was the best book and I don’t regret ordering it for my classroom. Highly recommend for students who can read Arabic but don’t understand it (finished Al-Bayan book for instance ) but don’t know the meaning or how to form a sentence.
