Aleyna Red Roasted Peppers, 480g

Sweet ready roasted whole bell peppers. These have so many uses it would be impossible to list them here. At the most basic release from jar, add some oil and seasoning and eat as part of tapas, mezze, small plates whatever you want to call them. Chop and use as part of your best steak sandwich dressing. I will grill a chicken breast slice one of these peppers place on top of chicken, leaves and melting cheese on top in a ciabatta or baguette for an amazing sandwich. I also use in stews, wraps, chilli and sausage and bean dishes. Fully yum product.

Really good texture and taste.

These are delicious: they’re ready-cooked sweet red peppers, chargrilled so they're really packed with flavour. They’ve got much more of a smokey taste to them than other brands I’ve tried but I like it nonetheless. The peppers come immersed in a water/vinegar solution rather than oil (you can’t taste or smell the vinegar) so they’re low in fat. They’re ready to use straight out the jar (don’t rinse them as the tasty chargrilled skins fall off). They’re whole peppers so they’re quite big but you can just chop up as required... My only real criticism here is that the peppers are very very soft; other brands I've tried have been firmer and easier to handle. Overall, very good. This is an incredibly versatile ingredient to elevate pretty much any meal - everything from sandwiches, wraps and burgers to main dishes like chicken, fish, pasta, rice, quinoa or lentils etc; great for adding a new dimension to a plain mozzarella pizza or for revamping leftovers. N o t e . This is a longlife product but the label states to refrigerate once opened and eat within 8 days: in my experience the peppers stay fresh and taste the same for several weeks after opening.

Love these straight out of jar

These peppers are very tasty and very useful. Perfect chopped up cold, in a salad. Or equally tasty added to any pasta, curry, or Chinese meal. The peppers themselves are soft and tender, with a mild flavour. Even if you think you don't like peppers, there's a good chance you'll like these. Ingredients wise, it's peppers, water, vinegar, sugar and salt. Sugar is sensibly low at 3.2%. Salt is medium at 1.1%. The pickling juice makes a good base for a salad dressing as well. The product is Turkish in origin. Overall, these are a very handy addition to your food cupboard. I always make sure I have a jar available. I hope you found this review helpful.

I bought it trying to save time from grilling peppers. They are ok, but not as a substitute to freshly grilled peppers - they are heavily pickled - to the point when you barely taste the peppers itself.

I like to have always these on my cupboard, they are great to complement a salad or to do a salted jam, mixing it with feta cheese and oregano. Love it!!
