After trying another brand of charging cable that didn’t hold up very well, I decided to give the ChubbyCable Chubby 2.0 USB-C 240W Fast Charging cable a try after noticing my wife was already using one. First thing I’ll admit—I really like the colors. They stand out and make the cable easy to spot, which is a nice bonus. What impressed me most is the build quality. The material is flexible, which helps prevent the cable from bending or breaking easily. I’ve had plenty of cables fail where the cord meets the connector, so I really appreciate the narrow metal ends on this one. That part feels sturdy and reinforced, which gives me confidence it’ll last longer than most cables. It also performs well when it comes to charging. It helps deliver a solid, fast charge, which is exactly what I want from a cable like this. I even ended up getting one for my daughter to use with her iPad, and let’s just say she’s probably had this one the longest and it’s still holding up well. Overall, it’s a durable, good-looking cable that does its job and feels like a good investment.

I’ve used a lot of charging cables over the years, and this is one of the best built ones I’ve owned. The first thing you notice is how thick and sturdy the cable is compared to normal USB-C cords. It feels premium and durable without being stiff or difficult to use. The braided outer material and reinforced ends give confidence that it will hold up to daily use, especially if you’re constantly plugging and unplugging devices. Charging speeds have been excellent. It handles fast charging with no issues on my phone, tablet, and other USB-C devices. The 240W capability also makes it great for higher-powered devices like laptops and portable power stations. I haven’t noticed any overheating or connection problems, and the cable stays securely connected. Another thing I like is that it doesn’t tangle easily, even when tossed in a bag or vehicle. The overall quality feels much better than the cheap cables that usually stop working after a few months. It’s definitely more heavy-duty than standard charging cords and seems built to last. If you want a reliable USB-C cable that feels premium, charges quickly, and can handle everyday abuse, this is a great choice.

I ordered several of these cables in different lengths and colors. They arrived and came out of the box feeling very premium. They were well packaged and even had a nice leather strap to manage the cable, instead of cheap twist ties or velcro zipties. I tested out all the cables with my FNB58 and all of them correctly presented an e-chip stating their capability of up to 50v @ 5a, i.e. 250W. Many cheap cables claim to be able to do 240W but because they don't have a proper e-chip, high-end power supplies will refuse to send power through them. These cables will do the job nicely. I plugged in my macbook to a 100W brick and observed it able to burst up to 90W without a sweat. I didn't have a 140W brick around to test with at the time of writing but I know that 100W source will refuse to send more than 65W without an echip, so I consider the test passed. The cables are thick and look very durable and the end connectors are metal and feel really nice. Hard to describe just how premium they feel, really. I don't always want to spend $25 on a cable, but when I do and this is what I get, I feel like the money was well spent. Please note that this cable can do high-power and moderate speed data, but if you want high speed data you need a different (thunderbolt) cable, and those then cannot do the full 240W power spec. You have to choose one or the other, I believe.

I got two of these 8ft cables, I used one to connect a MIDI keyboard to my phone and laptop and it worked fine. Charged my phone pretty fast and my switch lite a little faster than my Anker cable using a 60w block. Colors are a little off than in the image. I got the light blue and the red. Both colors were slightly off. The light blue is more like a teal which I don't mind. But the red is a little more orange than red, which is a bit of a shame cause I was color coding some devices and was expecting more of a solid or deep red, this is more like a orange red ..kind of reminds me of a construction cone. Either way gets the job done. The cables silicone sheathing is soft and flexible. Connectors feel solid, though I'd like if they had a black end shell rather than silver. Length is pretty good for what I need it for. A little pricey but not wildly outlandish. Apparently can handle 240w but I have no way of testing that claim as I don't have anything that requires that kind of power.

This cable doesn’t even work at less than 100W, let alone the 240W it’s advertised for.. this is the 2nd ChubbyCable I have purchased, I gave this brand another chance like the product rep asked told me he hoped I would after the last cable was way shorter than the advertised length. So I decided to try this one, and no matter what power brick I use it with on my MacBook Pro M4 Pro, it constantly disconnects and reconnects and sometimes disconnects and never even reconnects back and I don’t realize it until the MacBook dies. I have tried with 3 known working Anker power bricks, a factory MacBook Pro power brick, and a Anker Prime 250W portable battery. All of them have the exact same issue. Unusable to even charge a MacBook Pro at less than 100W at this length of cable. This cable structurally feels great but this is just another situation of false advertising capabilities of this companies cables that are clearly not what the product is capable of. Extremely disappointed that I trusted this companies product rep and gave them another chance and now once again have spent an absurd amount of money on a single cable, the amount amount that a cable of actual quality is supposed to cost, and ended up with a cable that isn’t even stable enough to charge a MacBook Pro M4 Pro.

The quality of this cable is insane. I have had this in my jeep for about a year now. It holds up well and charges anything connected to it fast due to the power and size. I like that its bulky and I can see it. If you buy a heavy power adapter these cable will have 100% connectivity to it and holds up well. I bought 2 more.

My wife and I both really like this cable. The silicone texture feels premium and soft in the hand, it's a noticeable step up from the usual stiff, plasticky cables you get everywhere. It has a quality feel to it that makes you confident it's going to last, and the orange color is a fun pop that makes it easy to spot in a drawer full of boring black cables. Performance-wise, no complaints at all. It charges our devices quickly and reliably, exactly what you'd expect from a 240W-rated cable. We use it across iPhones, iPads, and a MacBook, and it just works every time. The only knock is that the "chubby" name is earned, it really is thick. A little too thick for my preference, honestly. It doesn't coil up as easily or tuck away as neatly as a standard cable, and it can feel a bit bulky if you're trying to pack light for travel. It's a tradeoff: you get that durability and satisfying feel, but at the cost of some portability. Still a solid cable that we'd recommend. Just know what you're getting into with the thickness, it's more of a nightstand or desk cable than a toss-in-your-bag cable.

Very good charger I pair it with a 40W charger block and I am able to charge my iPhone 17 pro max to 80% in 40 minutes. Very good price and very nice variety of colors I will definitely buy another one. It’s very easy to carry around and can bend and is flexible love it.

Love this cable but it's a pain rolling it up as the clip is too small to hold it together

Absolutely love these chubbies. They don't tangle, they are soft touch and feel sturdy. Pros: - feel amazing - charge well - do not tangle Cons: - pricey but well worth it Verdict: I keep a pair of these in my car, and one in my drawer. I just love the way they feel and work. Nothing is more annoying than a thin little cord that bunches up and gets tangled as soon as you put it in the drawer.

Nice soft tangle free cable that actually delivers the wattage it promises. This really will fast charge your device.

Bought this to compare how well it performed in regards to a recent similar product at a fraction of the price. So far you can tell there is a bettwe and softer quality of cable. The connectors also seem to be a little better made. Again this cable chraged my demanding devices (Macbook Pro 16, iPad Pro, iPhone 15 pro, multiple USB C cameras, without issues). Liek the other cable 4 out of 5 until I can see how the data transfer compares as well as long term reliability.

Had the cable around a month now, stopped working!
