At 7000ft it will not start with full choke. I have to turn the knob slightly back towards run, then it starts easily. It seems to prefer having the choke opened slowly once the ready light comes on. It did not come with a bottle of oil, but the included funnel works great. It stutters a bit when cold and/or no load... a better plug might help with this. Eco mode works great and it ramps up with load no problem. Runs smooth and strong with a decent load. The fuel tank is small and at 50% load I'm seeing about 4-6 hours per tank. Once I broke it and changed the oil it quieted down a bit. At low load it's very quiet, at higher loads it gets pretty loud. But if you need ultimate quiet at this power level you'll be spending a lot more. It's pretty heavy, but you can grab the handle with both hands so most people can probably manage it. Think carry-on bag full of rocks. Wheels would have been nice.

UPDATE 2: It has now been 2 years and 6 months since the purchase of this generator and it still runs great. It still only has about 80 hours on it, averaging my use to 32 hours per year. This unit is now at an even LOWER price than when I bought it making it a better deal. I make sure to use ehtanol free gas, run it for 30 minutes a month with load and change the oil every 40 hours. I would still purchase again. UPDATE: I bought this generator in April of '22 and it is now November '22. The generator has been great all summer and went on several trips to power our 22' camper. With the hour meter I installed, I've racked up 40 hours of run time and its worked great, running the trailers AC and anything else we've needed. I still recommend this unit for the money. I'm also getting about 4 hours of run time with heavy load. I’m going to compare this to the Honda eu2000 I’ve had experience with and a Wen4500 that I recently bought. -You wont find more generator for less money than this right here- This gen will run 2800 watts continuously (on the upper end) and will surge 3000(or 3200) depending on if you’re looking at the box or the machine. If you’re curious what it will run, look on YouTube. Gavin’s garage has a great video of its capability. This thing is quiet - my Apple Watch shows around 59-61db at 23’ in grass. Mind you this is on eco, but it’s about as loud as a window AC from that distance. It’s touching Honda territory with more wattage. For this price and wattage, you can’t get any better. I’ll be using this at camp grounds to run a 13,500btu camper AC and some other items. This is also a nice backup in case power goes out. My previous gen, an open frame Wen 4500, had all the power I’d need and about 20 more db’s. Most campgrounds don’t like that so this genmax is perfect. As far as portability goes, full of gas it’s about 56lbs and is easily totable with the handle up top. If you’re looking for a strong and quiet generator for any occasion, this should be on the list. Granted, it’s cheap price may mean parts are not as durable compared to a Honda, but most of the internals on these generators are made in bulk and just rebranded. I’ve had zero issues yet. One thing I do wish this gen had was a display with some info. I went ahead and installed a runlead hour meter (8$) on the top. This allows me to see how much runtime the machines had for break in and oil changes. I did a lot of research over a two month period to find the right gen for my needs and this fits the bill in almost every way. If you’re on the fence, buy it!

I was a little hesitant to order this since the price is lower than comparable models, but figured I can always return it. After adding oil and gas I couldn't get it to run continuously, it would die after a few seconds. I called the support line and reached a live technician who knew the product. When you add oil do not screw in the dipstick to check the level! It's not mentioned in the manual so I screwed it in like you normally do on small engines. This has a low oil pressure cutoff (a great feature) and with the false reading I obtained the oil was too low to run the unit. After adding the proper amount of oil it started on the first pull and ran great. I recommended to my neighbor with an RV and he ordered one for boondocking. It's very quiet and seems to be very fuel efficient.

Quiet generator but vapor locks quite frequently and also shuts down like every 30 minutes due to CO2 failure so not real happy about that but as long as it works for the job site if I can keep it working longer than 20 minutes would be great would not recommend when it is working. It’s a great generator no power no problem with the power or anything. It’s just getting it to keeping it running. Most recent problem is overload light And nothing plugged tech response I plug inverter plug which did nothing .

After spending days researching and reviewing Generator/Inverters to use in our RV, I finally decided on the GenMax 3200. Initially I was leaning on smaller 2500 watt units, i.e. Champion, Generac, etc because I felt it would be enough to run the RV A/C, and because of the light weight of ~40 lbs, but all those units were just 80cc engines, and I knew the unit would have to always run on high speed mode to power the A/C. When I found this unit, I was impressed with the 145cc engine, the extra 500 watts, AND it weighed just 47 lbs. And the price was just $550. So I put it in my shopping cart and left it there for a few days to really think about it. All the reviews were pretty good, and there are some good youtube videos that praised it as well. I finally clicked the "checkout" button on Saturday, and it arrived today, the following Tuesday. Wow! And no damage. So I fill it with oil and a little gas, and after 3 or 4 pulls, it started right up. Hooked it up to the camper and ran the A/C fine, but being just 50 outside, I don't think the compressor ever kicked on, so a real test will have to wait a couple months although I have no doubt it will run the A/C just fine. I plugged in an 1875 watt hair dryer, and that got it's attention, but it simply speeded up it's RPM to accommodate for it. The vibration caused it to slide around a bit on our slick concrete porch at high RPM's. I am impressed with the build quality and so far, the performance. I'd rather buy domestic, but nothing comes close to the value of the Chinese units (as long as it holds up). I have had good luck with other Chinese generators & tools, as they have come a long way in their quality control, so hopefully I will have no regrets. Even the owner's manual is excellent without the typical bad grammer/spelling. Time will tell, but so far I really like this unit. It is the same as the SPERUS 3200 and the MaXpeedingRods 3200. As a plus, this unit will easily fit in the compartment under our RV bed as it 's just about 17" high, so I have about an inch to spare. Of course I will take it outside to use it.
