Highly recommend this to people who have trouble waking up in the morning, and are immune to their phone alarms (like me). It works as described, and is very effective. To be honest, it has genuinely scared me in the morning a few times. I woke up thinking someone was screaming at me. It's very annoying having to get up from bed and chase after the alarm clock, but it definitely works. You have the option to choose either the alarm sound (quite robotic, like R2D2), the 'runaway' option, or both at the same time. I always use them both, for maximum effectiveness. It's very easy to set up, as the instructions given are detailed and adequate. The first alarm sent to me was faulty (no sound), so I contacted Amazon for an exchange, and got a new one in one or two days. Very efficient!

Bought for an errant student to avoid missing their lectures. Brilliant fun!

I mainly bought this for the sadism. It's a quality build, small enough to fit even a small nightstand, the wheels work. However, the alarm resembles a toy gun or something exploding. It's this incoherent, loud mess that startles. Good idea but it should have tunes.

I suffer from hitting the snooze buttons of my alarms while still asleep, so this sounded like a great idea. If you catch this and hit snooze before it starts moving around it's still possible to stay in bed, but you'd have to be quick and quite determined to stay in bed Plus points: Great looking gadget in chrome Feels sturdy, and apparently can drop from 3 feet, though I haven't tried - I place mine on the floor I think it's weighted so that when it's off, the time is always facing up Easy to set, nice light blue backlight Makes funny and cute robotic noises - much better than a regular beep, and probably less likely to be slept through The only downside is the price for an alarm clock, but worth the investment to get out of bed, and I've never found such a fun clock! I love my clocky :)

As an incredibly heavy sleeper, I often found myself oversleeping because I've turned off the alarm without even properly waking up. So I figured I might as well give this runaway alarm clock a try. I had pretty high hopes for it and I have to admit I feel a little let down. The alarm isn't particularly loud (the motor of the wheels are louder to be honest) but it does the trick of waking you up. However, the clock doesn't run very far (at least mine doesn't), so if I keep it next to the bed, I can easily turn it off without having to leave the bed (which in my case isn't a very good idea because I'll just go straight to sleep again). So I'm now keeping it at the other side of the room which would work just as well with any other alarm clock. I mean, it's a nice gimmick and it does the trick of waking me up but I'm not sure it was entirely worth it.

To start off with I will begin with the main problem. The clock side of this alarm clock is shady, due to it being perfect all day, it say the right time, but the in the morning at 8 o’clock it will for some reason it thinks it is 3am and does not awaken me. I have no idea what happens in the night but the clock don’t stay right. The second part of this warning and a complaint, technically is all about the alarm. If the wheels are set to move the alarm has no sound. If the alarm was just set it went off and was fine. But I did not just buy this product to have an average, non-moving alarm. Also like with the clock side, in the morning when I check what time my alarm was set for it said a random time like 11:23am. Nevertheless I am a merciful person so on the first and second morning, i just reset everything to where it should be and waited till morning. This is the third morning. None should hopefully be surprised to hear this item will be returned, and I warn you if you buy this product you will be returning too. The video shows the clock reaching an alarm and resetting its self to 12. As you can see it doesn’t move or ring. I changed the times on both the alarm and clock but it kept doing that when I check it this morning. It wasn’t doing this originally when I check it 4 days ago. SAVE YOUR MONEY! DO NOT BUY! IT DOESN’T WORK!

As an adult sufferer of ADD, I find getting up in the mornings a real struggle. My technique of setting multiple alarms on my phone to go off over an hour was working, but didn't guarantee that I got out of bed on time. I would sometimes find myself waking up mid-morning with a sleep hangover, clutching my phone, with all the alarms switched off. I was suggested this alarm clock by a friend, and it has become indispensable to my morning routine. Aside from the obvious selling point of zipping round my room every morning, forcing me to scrabble out of bed to turn it off, a further clever feature is the alarm itself: Unlike most alarm clocks that play a loop of music or emit a regular series of beeps (which your sleepy brain can incorporate into your dozy half-dream), Clocky plays a garbled, arrhythmical set of bleeps, buzzes, pings and other noises that is impossible to ignore, shaking your brain into reluctant action. Setting it up is simple (although I recommend giving the manual a quick glance), and reliability has been rock-solid so far. If I had more thumbs, they would all be pointing up. If you're not a morning person, and don't want to splash out silly money on an alarm clock, this is the one for you.

Clocky is awesome! I haven't been late to work since I got the alarm. It doesn't travel too fast or far, but in your sleep daze its enough to get you awake and ready for the day. The alarm clock noise is funky and robotic, definitely loud enough to wake you up, and you have complete control as to whether you have the wheels and alarm sound on, or one or the other. Would 100% recommend, considering buying this as a gift for my more sleepy family members this Christmas :D

Easy to set and choose if you want it to roll away or not. My child does not like to wake up and stay up. When the alarm was across the room she would turn it off then go back to bed. With clocky she gets up, finds it, then stays up and get ready for school. I thought the alarm sound would be a regular alarm clock but it is R2-D2 on crack. Definitely gets your attention. It is also loud. I can hear the alarm clock down the hall.
