Douk Audio VU3 PRO Dual Analog VU Meter, 2-Way Amplifier Switch, Speaker Selector, Amp Audio Switcher Box 2-IN-2-OUT with DB Panel Display

It does what I needed. I can A - B two sets of speakers (or two amps). And I can run both sets of speakers combined. That last feature is hard to find. The remote is handy for A - B comparing of speakers while sitting in the listening position. I like the banana plug / spade connectors. Solid and versatile. I have not noticed any degradation of sound quality when using this box. For $135 is was a good price. The meters are nice eye candy, but not all that acurate. You can change colors and brightness. Or turn them off completely if you wish. The unit does have to be powered on to pass the sound through you your speakers. I have a Furman power coditioner on my setup that I turn on before applying power to each hifi component. The VU3 pro is plugged into the Furman and it powers on when the Furman is switched on. So, that works fine for me. And the VU 3 pro remembers it's settings from the last power down. So, that's a good feature.

Looks cool, works great. The remote is kind of cheap and doesn’t respond the best but overall very nice unit.

Better than the other swithces that I tested. Quality finish and functionality. This switch does not add any color and the loss of output is very minimal or I can say negligible. Very userful for every audiophile to compare between to amplifiers to evaluate performance of two differnt brands of speakers instantly. In my case I was comparing and evaluating my new Yamaha A-S801 amp with my vintage Denon PMA-720 using a pair of KEF Q350 and a pair of Klipch RP600 M-II. It is so convenient and handy to switch between amps and speaker pairs while not changing your listening position , using the remote. Also gives a good look to your rack with the UV meters. I will definitely recomend this.

Cool device but the pictures vs reality are off. lighting is a bit meh. The color is not uniform as a lot of white light bleed from bottom center no matter what color you set.

I like the fact that I can now easily switch between two different receivers and two different sets of speakers. I also, personally, like the vue meters and the fact that you can change the colors and intensity of the colors. The reason for no 5 stars is that I mostly listen to music in my office when I'm working so it's not up really loud, and if the music is not up loud enough the mic won't pick up the sound so the meters don't move. It would be nice if it was much more sensitive. I don't hear any kind of distortion or have any issues when I am swapping between receivers or speakers. I wish it had the ability to switch between three (or even four) pairs of speakers, and it would be nice if it had a dedicated sub connection, but for the price, it's a fun piece of equipment to add to my system. It feels sturdy, and I really like the fact that, unlike a lot of speaker selector boxes, it has banana plugs so I don't have to butcher my cables.

For me, it was about adding a little bling to my stereo. It does work for that. The speaker switching is a bonus.

I purchased this device to replace an existing one, I use to switch between a Denon receiver I use for AV, and a Primaluna tube amp I use for 2 channel music. The box is well made, metal chassis, solid clicks when I switch between amps. VU meters are just eye candy, but brilliant. Love that you can change the color on try fly. Rear panel has good quality inputs. No degradation to sound that I can tell. One of the best $145 updates I’ve made.

I was going to get the FOSI Audio version of this, but when I started hearing about the VU meter problem, I waited to see what Aiyma or Douk would do. I'm glad I did, as the VU meters dance easily, even on a low-sensitive setting. The binding posts are good and the whole unit feels premium. I didn't notice any added noise to my chain (Schiit Loki + IFI Zen Phono stage + Emotiva TA-1), but maybe in a more expensive setup, it might add something. Switching between amps and speakers is easy and the remote is very good. The VUs can adjust colors (which you can do with the remote) from a pale yellow to red and green and you can adjust the brightness, too. All in all, a fun item that you can use just on it's own because of the very sensitive mic that makes the VUs go even if not hooked into your chain.

Excelente manufactura y muy fácil de usar

Received the product yesterday. The setup was a breeze and I did it all by myself. I used banana plus for the connections. It is working as expected and no loss in signal. The VU meters are bright enough and working fine. The Denon front two speakers out and the Pioneer Amps speaker out are connected to this. Presently one pair of Polk speakers are added. Switching works perfectly fine. I tested with both Amps. I am happy with the product.
