Very good solar cameras for the price!
I wanted to enhance my outdoor security with additional solar cams, as my old one stopped working. I do not live in a bad neighborhood but always looking for an excuse to buy more security cams. I favor the medium priced cams and feel they work as long or longer than some higher priced cameras (such as Nest). I came across these S1 4P AOQEE solar cameras, liked the positive reviews, and thought I’d give them a shot. My wifi is strong, and my always rule on security cams is there can’t be any wifi connectivity issues (nor any issues staying connected). I have numerous other cams outside with no wifi issues, so if a new cam purchased has connectivity issues, I know it’s the cam, and not the wifi. In any event, I’ve had these cams up and running outside for two weeks now, and I’ve not lost the internet even once. That’s good news. Setup and installation were simple. Average time to get the cams connected and up and running was about three minutes total. During a very simple setup, I used their QR code on my phone and the cams pared with the app in less than 15 seconds each. It uses the Wansview app and I use this app for a few other cams and never had problems with it. I need solar cams as certain areas on my property do not have electrical outlets available. After two weeks, the battery on each is always around 98-100%. Even with cloudy days. These S1 solar cams are my first with built-in panels, instead of a separate solar panel with connection cord, but I see no issues. Love that I don’t have to remove them to charge to my PC. Also, the supplied mounts are easily adjustable so setting up with the angle needed for best sun exposure is no problem. Regarding video quality, the images are quite clear in daytime, and night vision is impressive. Good stuff. The motion detection feature is pretty good, as notifications to my phone are sent within seconds, and it’s quite accurate with no false alerts for the most part. As mentioned, I feel cameras such as these give more value to the buck than some higher priced models that do the same things. For the money spent, I am quite satisfied with these S1 Aoqee security cameras.

Clear picture and easy to setup and use.
I purchased the four pack S1 cameras There are instructions on how to set up the camera on your network included. I selected the camera type in the Wansview app for the battery S1. To set up the camera, I used the scan method to connect the camera to my network. It was easy. Just hold your smartphone up to the app and scan the QR code, then listen to the audio prompts from the camera as it tells you what's going on, then continue to follow instructions in the app. I put my own 128 gig memory SD card into the camera(s). The phone app can review live video or stored video using your phone app as well as on the SD card. I recommend getting a SD card. Also, if you want to view the cameras live on your computer you can use the pc app, Amazon show, or Fire TV. You can easily integrate with Alexa to do this. I use my Alexa fire TV to view the cameras on my big TV at any time. I mounted my cameras using the hardware provided and even a template to mount the base of the camera. I made sure they are getting sunlight as they are solar-powered. I do not need to use the charging cords once they are mounted. My cameras charge up using the sun each day to 100%, as you can check battery status in the smartphone app. There are several really nice features. You can have the spotlight turn on when motion is detected at night. You have the ability to hear what's going on as well as talk to whatever is near the camera. I like that you can go back and review what was recorded by date and time. You need to use the cloud service for the ability to save and recall the capture online. Or for free, put a sd card into each camera 128Gb max. You get notifications as well as 15 seconds of motion captured for free no matter what if you want even without the SD card. You can have the motion detection look for people as this will pick up a person and count that as motion however you can just report all motion detection and it will record this if you have a sd cord or the cloud service. You can adjust sensitivity of detection. I have several of the cameras and they all have very clear crisp pictures. The 2k video is very clear even at night. I love that you can adjust the camera to adapt at night to a color picture using the existing lights that are around your property, or the spot light built in, instead of seeing the picture in just in black and white. I bought the 4 pack and love them. I recommend these cameras as they use a battery and or USB C cable that comes with the cameras. They are solar so all you do is charge it once and solar does the rest with no cords at all. So far on cloudy days I have not seen any concern as the battery shows full all the time. The sensitivity can be adjusted as well as distance of detection. The Wi-Fi is 2.5 GHz only. The wansview app is very solid and has many features that also allow you to talk to the person if you want, as well as notify you of an alert. You can zoom in the picture to see closer and set the picture to full screen on your phone app. The echo show also lets you zoom in. The ability to set up each camera in about 5 minutes, a perfect picture, ability to see the cameras using the app on my pc to look at all the cameras at once is perfect. I recommend these cameras to anyone who wants security and just the ability to look at an area quickly when they get a notification.

Dissatisfaction
At first, I was really pleased with the results of this system and how easy it was for them to get set up. The picture looked great, though we found out later that we had to pay for a monthly or yearly app subscription, the app was convenient at the time but in the almost 30 days I’ve had them, they’re truly a disappointment. The app itself isn’t the best. I mean I guess you get what you pay for. A cheaper version to be able to have some what of a “security system.” But I purchased based on all the great reviews. These cameras literally detect the wind, the leaves, the birds, all but PEOPLE! And what they’re supposed to. There’s times I go in my yards or even leaving the garage and it DOES NOT capture. It literally lacks to capture a lot that it should which is concerning and again, disappointing. I have one of the best wi-fi connections as well so, that’s not the issue. I get so many alerts that aren’t actual alerts and to the point I don’t even want to look at the alert because it’s always nothing! I’m wondering if other people who rated this product good had these issues or just haven’t noticed? Either way, would not recommend as a house security solution. I have all 4 mounted on about 1,000sq ft home. The picture is also not that great to identify from a distance and it stops recording which is also inconsistent. For these reasons, I rate them as a 1 star and wouldn’t recommend unless you’re okay with these things and just want it as a means to say you have cameras.

Good quality but has some glitches
Alright so I bought the set of four to put in my yard, the quality is very good, audio clear, set up very easy and it has a surprisingly wide angle and long range for viewing. The app is not bad smooth connecting through it. However, ensure you have good WiFi connection in the yard space because if not the camera that is further away from the WiFi will buffer or not connect at all or it will glitch then hurry to catch up once it picks up a bar on the WiFi so I’d recommend getting a WiFi extender if you any to place it at a far distance. Also do not connect multiple devices to it, I learn the hard way it kills the battery very quickly. I had two phones and a tablet connected and one of the camera stopped working so I was wondering what happened, come to check it had died. Ensure it is in sun all the times that the unit way it will charge and keeps charge. During a cloudy day it hold charge yes but constantly going on the app to check call run down the battery. At one point two do the cameras got disconnected I don’t n ow how, I had to take them down reconnect them back through the app and put them back up but that’s was only one time so maybe it was a glitch. Overall a good camera not for heavy usage though like to connect to a tv or tablet a phone is better to view it from so that the battery keeps up.

Great security cameras for the price
I purchased the AOQEE home security cameras in September 2025 and have been very happy with them. Installation was quick and easy, and the phone app is very user-friendly for viewing live video, notifications, and playback. The video quality is clear both during the day and at night, and the solar charging feature does a great job keeping the batteries charged with very little maintenance. One of the features I appreciate most is the ability to use a memory card for video storage instead of being forced into a monthly cloud subscription. It gives you flexibility without added costs. I also had a great experience with their warranty support team. One of my cameras developed a power-up issue, and Rayna from customer service was extremely helpful and responsive. They quickly processed the warranty claim and shipped out a replacement camera with no hassle. Excellent customer support and a great overall product experience.

Best budget cameras!
These cameras are legit. We don’t live in an area that would generally cause the need for cameras but now with a baby and another on the way it made sense seeing who was coming up the driveway! Haven’t had any issues with battery life and night vision modes are all crystal clear, love that no subscription is required. Will send alerts at night but dialing in sensitivity helps!

Quality cameras for the price, best budget security + Solar!
The product works as it should, pretty straight-forward. I check my battery levels, and it maintains at high level due to the solar charging. Be sure to place where sunlight can charge, as well as close to WIFI signal. I would recommend this product and plan to add 2 more cameras to areas that aren't covered. But remember to read the description fully as it doesn't pan or move, it is fixed in 1 position but with a wide angle viewing coverage. Best of luck!

Not that great! Company lied about refunding
UPDATE 4/6/2026 This company is not reliable I have not received my refund. This items are not working anymore. UPDATE!!! I commend the seller for reaching out to me after the review. I opted for a full refund and I really appreciate the sincerity of the seller. I seldom leave bad reviews and I wished this product worked for me. I rate the seller 5 stars thank you!!! I have a high expectation for these cameras based on the reviews. The set up was easy and user friendly and I’m happy that it’s working without the use of electrical connections. All 4 units worked great on the first few days. I will not be subscribing to cloud but will put micro sd cards. After a few days of use, however, 2 cameras’ battery suddenly drained. I have one camera off just to hasten the solar charge but it’s been a week and it’s still on 60%. The other camera has gotten to 90%. Another issue is the detection. These cameras won’t detect motion after sunset. I have it customized to high, far etc. In summary, you get what you paid for. I’ll will probably eventually replace these with the Wyze cams which I have bought some when they were just starting. My Wyze cams are still working great. I bought these for the distant areas of the yard and my chicken coops.
