Let me preface by saying I am a Ninja fan and I do own multiple Ninja devices so perhaps I'm slightly biased. Also, to get the negatives out of the way first - I've noticed so far this machine has the same issues EVERY Ninja device that uses liquid has. They all leak out of the spout long after you've stopped using it. My Thirsi does it, my Pods & Grounds does it, and now this Slushi does it. It's not the end of the world but it's certainly annoying. I've only used the Slushi function so far but if the others work as well then I can assume safely. This machine is probably the best Ninja product I've bought other than my air fryer. All you have to do is open the hatch, pour your ingredients in, and let it run. Make sure to chill liquids for optimal performance. As anything you read will tell you - the liquid has to have an appropriate sugar content to freeze. That doesn't mean you can't use sugar free or diet drinks. You just have to put the right amount of sugar per 8 oz of liquid. I've made frozen cokes just like I used to drink growing up from Speedway, Thorntons etc. and they're excellent. Right now I'm drinking a frozen butterbeer (Harry Potter) recipe I made and I can easily say that it's better than what you get at Universal Studios, for way cheaper. You of course need the ingredients on hand for this machine to have any value but with the insane prices at stores like Starbucks, Wendy's, even Sonic, there's no way you won't save money with this machine. I got it on sale for $280 including tax for the FS301 (the "low end" model if you go by Ninja's chart) and I can say probably within a few weeks I will have saved that much money with summer officially starting soon. It can make smoothies, slushies, milkshakes, Margaritas, pina coladas, frozen bloody marys, Frosty's, Frappucinos, and doubtless tons more stuff. I'm hoping to try out some Pina Colada this weekend once I can get to the store for the rum. Once you select a preset, the sensor will suggest whether the temperature needs to be increased or decreased and this also indicates if there's enough sugar in the mix. The presets aren't perfect but they're a good start. The slushi has a very easy rinse feature too. For slushi's you can just pour water into the reservor and hit the Rinse setting for it to clean itself. Depending on ingredients, like if you put caramel or butterscotch or something into the mix it will require more thorough cleaning so you'll have to dump the reservoir - which the dispenser handle does easily - and then remove the spill guard and the entire reservoir. All of it is dishwasher safe, too.

Bought this on a whim when I saw it was on sale and I'm glad I did. I've had it for a few weeks now and made just about every type of drink you can make. Soda slushies, fruit slushies, margaritas, coffee frappes, milkshakes, etc. Everything has turned out well but I did have some trouble with the frappes and shakes. You really have to be mindful to not whisk/mix your ingredients too much because it will alter the texture sometimes and give you some weird chunks that you don't want. My experience has been anything that uses dairy requires some fine tuning and more careful attention. Otherwise, I've been most impressed with the margaritas as the consistency of the slush is nearly always perfect. Soda slushies only needing the soda itself and nothing else is amazing and I've made Baja Blast slushies more than anything so far. As someone who likes to tinker and experiment, this machine is just such a fun toy to play around with. I get a kick out of trying new recipes out and seeing how they turn out. I would wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone who loves slushies.

This Ninja SLUSHi machine has quickly become one of our favorite kitchen gadgets—and it’s earned a permanent spot on our kitchen counter. The functionality is excellent: it’s simple to use, chills fast, and consistently produces a perfectly smooth slush texture. Everything we’ve made tastes great, whether it’s a store-bought drink or something we mix ourselves. The build quality feels solid, which gives me a lot of confidence in its durability. I was a little worried about leakage, but after many uses, it hasn’t leaked at all. One tip that’s worth highlighting: make sure the machine sits upright for a couple of hours before the first use (or any time it’s been on its side). We skipped this step at first, and it took over two hours to freeze a full tank. After letting it sit upright as recommended, it now chills a full batch in about 30 minutes. The noise level is noticeable but not distracting—just the normal sound of a machine working quickly. Cleaning is extremely easy. We spray all the parts down with hot water after each use, let everything dry, and then reassemble it without any hassle. If you enjoy margaritas, the premixed Kirkland margarita mix works perfectly in this machine. A ratio of 3 or 4 parts mix to 1 part water helps it freeze smoothly without getting too thick. And if you’re choosing a size, the 88 oz version is absolutely worth it—the extra capacity makes a big difference for groups. All around, this is a fun, reliable machine that performs exactly as promised. Highly recommend.

This is a need and not a want. If you have been debating on getting one or have seen any reviews with smiles across social media, just go ahead. We've had our machine since mid-February and it's being used daily, even if it's cold out. So far I've made both sugar infused, sugar-free and adult drinks without issue. My diabetic husband can finally have that coke slush or milkshake without sugar. The possibilities are endless with this machine. From coke slushies to margaritas to milkshakes to frappé to frozen electrolyte drinks. It's for the entire family from young to old. For sugar-free use allulose. Works perfect. For those lactose intolerant, use whatever milk substitute you want. Great machine for everyday use or in the summer months around the pool or even parties. Before you buy up alot of ingredients to use it, you probably have what you need already in your kitchen. Milk, cocoa powder, coffee and creamer, sugar or another sugar substitute, vanilla extract, fruit juices, colas, etc. You don't have to buy up every product you see online just to get started (I first thought we did, but you really don't need much). It's not a big as you think either. Ours is in the corner by the Ninja XL which is next to the KitchenAid mixer. It's tall and skinny but no too tall. The footprint is thinner than my mixer amg just a tad bit taller and deeper. It's an appliance they can stay out on the counter. I do recommend the 88 ounce vs the smaller version for more functions and capacity. If you think about it, 88 ounces isn't much. That's a little over 4-20 ounce colas. It is very very quick to use, doesn't take hours but less than 30 minutes for most everything we've thrown at it. Margarita premix you do have to dilute it a tad for the alcohol volume, use either water or sprite. We've used both and either one is fine. It's not diluted and still a strong drink. Hope this helps you decide on getting one, we are ABSOLUTELY loving this new addition to the kitchen. It has became just as important as an airfryer or can opener in our kitchen. I thought it was just a want and my husband wasn't sure, it made us a believer. We're going to save alot of money making our own milkshakes, margaritas, hydration drinks and coke slushies. A $2 2-liter cola vs a $3 large slushie and you do the math or a $15 frozen margarita at a restaurant vs 8 at home for less than $20. $7 milkshake for less than $1.25 at home. •For those wondering about staining, we've yet to see the first stain. •Super easy to clean, no mess and you can clean every crevice. •Easy to operate, a child can operate it. •Clean lines so it's pretty on your countertop. •Super easy recipes. Most are dump and go. Up to a 12 hour run time on your frozen drinks, so make your mix and let it run.

The absolutely best gift ever. It makes the drink fast and has multiple options. I use the slushies option a lot, pour my soda in it and before you know it I have a frozen drink. It does make some noise but nothing too crazy. But if you are sitting close by it might drive you crazy after a while. The size and shape is good in my opinion but it might be because I have it sitting next to the black and Decker six bottle bartesian machine. It is easy to clean and I use it every other week day and every weekend and so far no issues, so durability scores high in my book, just what you would expect from Ninja. It does have a sugar level sensor but so far, I have done sprite, Dr pepper, cream soda and a few different juices without issues.

Unbelievable machine. It did exactly what it said. I tried a couple different recipes and each recipe only took between 15 and 20 minutes to finally get the slush moving. Kids loved it. I highly recommend it.

My boys love this! With summer here, we are able to have slushies any day we want and never have to leave home. It’s fast & easy to use and clean up is quick. Turns simple juices into slushie. This also makes the best frozen margarita for the adults.

The machine is a 5-star, for those seeking exactly what it is intended for, "Slushies". However, it is also - almost the perfect ice-cream maker. I bought the machine, presuming that if it could do a slushie - it might also work for ice-cream, and it does if you place the results in the freezer for a top-off firming up. And to that end - it "could be" the perfect ice-cream maker in addition to the slushie. I gave the rating a 4 in hopes Ninja will glance at this review. I know they make an ice-cream machine, but I was unimpressed. This one has flexibility with its slushie capability. What is missing are the following; (1) One more cold setting beyond the "spiked slushie" to get it to a firmer soft-serve. (2) The blades need another 1/8" in width so as to better push the slightly thicker ice-cream forward. (3) The spigot orifice would need to be slightly larger (say another 1/8" diameter). Thus a bit of refinement and it could be more than a skushie but allow soft icecream as well. Everything else about the machine is on the money for what I wanted; easy to clean, quiet, and quick. My "homemade" icecream comes out great, if it sits in the freezer to be firmed up. A wonderful machine.
