This shower filter has been a really nice upgrade for my bathroom routine. Installation was quick and straightforward, and after the first few uses my hair and skin felt noticeably less dry. My hair feels softer, cleaner, and easier to manage overall, and I’ve noticed less heaviness after washing as well. I also appreciate how easy the filter replacements are to swap out since the filter twists off without any complicated setup. It blends into my bathroom nicely while still feeling sturdy and well made.

I love this shower filter! I’ve tried a few in the past, namely some of the ones with those “beads” that they claim to filter out contaminants, even though they honestly didn’t. This one feels a lot different to those!!! I found it from online water quality blogs, all of the ones I browsed recommending it as their top pick for shower spout filters. While it doesn’t beat, say, a whole home filtration system, it does improve plain city water. The water where I live is really chlorinated and dries out my skin, and this helps to remove most of it! It does NOT soften water, just removes contaminants. Additionally, it’s one of the easiest to install shower head filters I’ve experienced, especially changing out the refills. The product itself is a 10/10, but I do personally wish the refills were a little less expensive. Overall, I would recommend but budget $30 to replace the filters, which I do every 1.5-2 months!

This filter is great. But I’m going to let you in on a little hack. To preserve the filters it’s important after you use them to unscrew them and let out the water and pour the water out of the plastic and rinse them with filtered water or clean water andset them out to dry. This will preserve the filters and stop them from turning yellow within one week.I use these filters in my guest house. I took a shower in the guest house, one time and one week later the white filter was yellow from water sitting inside of the plastic housing.What I did was, I added a little OxiClean into a small container with lukewarm water and I set the white filter in it overnight and then rinsed it with filtered hot water then dried it. Let it air dry for one night even though I continue to buy more filters to replace each one. This is just a simple hack. I use to preserve or reuse the filters longer.Nobody has to take this advice. This is just what I do because the filters turned brown after one use for holding water into the housing, causing it to turn brown within one use.

Great filter and easy to install. Been using over a month now and it really does a good job. Been living area for 7 years now and water quality has always been poor. Water has chlorine smell and also leaves an orange/yellow stain in sinks. Causes dry skin and tastes terrible. Also very difficult to keep up with the scale on shower and tub. Best thing I’ve found to fight that has been peroxide based cleaners. But not only has the water simply become cleaner, the chlorine smell is gone, and my shower has been really easy to keep clean. All I’m really doing now is squeeging the shower after use. Summer coming soon so will see how much the cleaner water helps against humidity and mold. After a month of use glad to see the filter is still working great and doesn’t seem to have deteriorated or discolored much. I’m hoping to get 3+ months out of them. Just be aware when you order the initial unit and setup subscription, it will default to replacing the entire unit instead of just the filters themselves. I had to fix that myself with the subscription. Filters are like 23 for the pair, which is a lot less than the 90 it costs for the whole unit. Haven’t done that replacement yet to see how easy or challenging that might be. Def a great product and worth the price if you want safer water. My skin and hair are visibly happier.

I really wanted this to work for me since I did notice a difference in eczema but only for the 1st week since these filters don't last beyond that in New York City apparently. If I were to stick with these, the cost to owning Weddell filters would be in the $500 -$600 range annually. If you can afford that in the K-shaped economy, then perhaps this review doesn't apply to you.After shower head filters came on the market I waited sometime before deciding to look into purchasing one because I am wary of jumping on social media trends for self care. However, after traveling for a while with noticable improvements to my eczema, I decided to look into the options for filters since many people world wide seemed to recommended variations. I did a lot of research on google, youtube, and reddit which is what landed me on The Weddell duo. The NSF certification was attractive and most of the reviews I saw out there (initially) were positive. However, New York City was one location where people had complaints. I brushed them off because many of the reviews were from people who reported to live in older buildings, which in NYC translates to pre-1990's. I live in a newer building so I assumed the filter longevity and water pressure issues were exclusive to older plumbing. I was very wrong.As previously mentioned, when the filter works I did notice an improvement. Problem is the filters get clogged after 10 days. The photos attached show Day 1 and then Day 10 - with the water pressure on Day 10.Customer service offered me solutions about trouble shooting connectivity issues. After trying all their suggestions with no improvements, they offered me either a refund or complimentary filters that I could try, and then after the water pressure drops, I could just "take out the right side filter" to extend the life of the other filter. Regretfully I tried their suggestion of running with half the filter, which I guess did give me a little more time but unfortunately put me outside the return window.I have a feeling they know about these issues within certain municipals. If they didn't before, they should after I sent them many links with reviews citing these same problems in certain cities. I feel like I was gaslit. One place I was definitely influenced to buy this was from The Water Guru on YouTube and I recently went back to look at the comments and many people are having the same issues as me. He has even made a new video showing an extra attachment a person can build to get the Weddell Duo to work but personally I don't want my shower looking like a SCUBA dive center.In conclusion, if you're in NYC don't get bamboozled like I did or if you can afford to replace frequently, then these will work out great.

I got the light pink filter, it looks cute installed and goes well with the chrome in my bathroom. It was pretty easy to install but I needed to remove it and use the tape to make sure it didn’t leak. After that it worked great! It’s not overly expensive, more than other filters and less than others. The water flow stayed about the same as it was without it. It hasn’t been that long, but I do notice a slight difference in my hair being softer and my skin not feeling as dry after showering. I didn’t have any odor in my water before, so I can’t speak to that. The water filter replacements seem to be budget friendly as well. Overall, I will be purchasing this for the other bathrooms in my house.

I wanted something that would clean up my shower water and after doing some research I settled on this one... and I'm glad I did. The dual cartridge system with a dedicated white sediment filter along side a black activated charcoal filter catches everything from pipe rust to harsh chlorine and PFAS which has completely illiminated that strong chemical smell. I like that the cartridges are housed in clear shells which allows us to see them change color taking the guess work out of knowing when it's time to change them. Love the twist lock feature making them easy to install and replace without tools. Very happy with the water pressure which I thought was going to lower like most filtration systems but this maintains it's pressure with no noticable loss. This is so good for hair and skin and greatly reduces build up on shower walls. I'm super happy with this and glad I found it. Easy 5 stars!

Filter does exactly as advertised, it left the water very clean, and left our skin very soft and natural feeling. Though, if you have a high pressure preference or a shower head needing a decent amount of water circulated to function even close to normal, this filter will hinder that completely.I would say out of the box, the filter system will cut your pressure by 50% and eat about 5% pressure a week as the filters get dirty.We purchased the “new filters” thinking maybe our water is horrendously filthy and the filters were just doing some serious work and clogged up but that wasn’t the case. New filters buckled instantly when installed and actually caused our water pressure to drop even more than the dirty ones.Ended up removing one of the filters and still the water pressure is so low my wife chooses to use the unfiltered handheld shower head because otherwise it’ll take 5 minutes to rinse shampoo out of her hair.Product 100% removes and makes the water super clean, but the pressure loss is a big problem.

Definitely the best product I’ve bought off Amazon this year. Very friendly and helpful customer service team helped keep me updated during the delivery which was very comforting. Super easy to install, noticed the difference straight away and definitely worth buying. Water flow is super soft, clean and just natural. It fitted my shower perfectly and works brilliantly. Will definitely be buy another one soon. Hair already seems less dull and skin feels amazing even after my first use. Hope to upload before and after pictures soon
