White Lightning - Wet Ride Lubricant

Kept getting black chain grease on my calf, cleaned my chain anf used this, no longer an issue

Great delivery service. Love this lubricant for my electric bike. I cycle in all weathers to get to work and this is just does the job nicely to keep my chain lubricated and free from rust.

I love White Lightning lube, so why only 3 stars? Mine arrived with about 15% missing, like it had been used to lube a chain a few times. It doesn't sound like much but I didn't pay for a mostly-full bottle. That's the disadvantage of buying online, I guess. As for the lube itself, one of the US reviewers commented that if you only clean and lubricate your chain a few times a year, then White Lightning is the lube for you, and that's absolutely right. This has been my lube of choice for the past 15 years, partly because it was easy to get hold of where I live, and partly because it requires so little effort on my part. It's thicker than many lubes (even other wet lubes), so you don't need that much to keep your chainset oiled, and my bike runs immediately quieter after a dose of this stuff than any other lube I've tried. It also turns into a grease very quickly, keeping my chain quiet for longer than my other lubes. Of course this also means that it collects dirt pretty quickly, and that dirt/grease combination gunks up the chainset faster than other lubes, making for a harder time when cleaning. For me, that's a price worth paying for such a hard-working and long-lasting lube.

A great product which keeps chain running very smoothly even in terrible weather. Frictional losses reduced to a minimum and very quiet it's almost like having a new bike.

I live in Utah where we have dry, dusty summers and snowy winters. I commute to work via bicycle every day, 11 miles each way. I also run a small bike shop out of my garage. In the summertime I like to use White Lightning Clean Ride dry lube on my bike, but the salt and brine that gets sprayed all over the roads in the winter to keep the snow/ice off is really hard on a bicycle drive train. I’ve seen a brand new chain start to rust within only a few weeks when not properly cared for. I have used Wet Ride 2 ½ winters and I have been very happy with it. It offers a good layer of protection for my chain and keeps things shifting smoothly. It does attract dirt and grime fairly quickly (which is common for wet lubricants), but it’s easy (and necessary when frequently riding, especially in the winter) to run your chain through a chain cleaner, rub the chain down, and reapply this stuff. Dry lubricant just doesn’t offer the necessary amount of protection, nor does it last long enough to make it a good option for winter cycling. I definitely feel comfortable recommending Wet Ride as a great wet lubricant, especially for winter conditions. Another good option for wet lubricants is Finish line Wet Lube.

Llevo usando este lubricante desde hace casi 8 años y es el único que mantiene mi cadena un poco limpia en contra de otras marcas que he probado, el único inconveniente es que antes de cada rodada se debe aplicar pues se cae con facilidad lo que ayuda a mantener limpia nuestra transmisión.

Ottimo olio, non può mancare in inverno se si fanno percorsi con fango neve e acqua. Lo potete mettere pure dentro casa che non gocciolera mai
