Did a test on an old piece of wood. It seems to really work. Remember it is a fire retardant not fire proof

Flame tested and this product is great. Sprayed with HVLP gun on seat material and wool product. Will not burn even with constant fire by blowtorch.

I mixed this 50/50 with some left over latex ceiling paint and applied it to the kraft paper backing found on insulation. It will be many years before I sheet rock the walls in our basement and was worried the kraft paper backing posed a substantial fire hazard. A test of my 50/50 mixture on a scrap piece of insulation showed this stuff works! An untreated piece of kraft paper burned immediately, and once ignited stayed burning. The treated (painted) sample would not ignite...I used a barbecue starter torch and the best I could get was a smolder that extinguished as soon as the flame was removed. This stuff is not inexpensive - but works as advertised. My application was residential so I did not need to get the Fire Marshall involved - but it did seem a bit difficult to find the paperwork for this on the companies web site. If your application must pass an inspection I'd recommend downloading and printing the spec sheets first - showing it to your local Fire Marshall or inspector - and making sure this paperwork is sufficient to pass.

Couldn’t be easier to apply, covers a lot of area thoroughly. Haven’t tested its fire resistance however. Appreciate that the chemicals don’t seem particularly dangerous to work with.

We spray it on and let it dry. Flip them over rand spray the other side and let it dry. They are a little stiff when we are done but loosen up after a while. Don't know if it works, we haven't had a fire. I guess this is a good thing. The video that shows the testing of the product was impressive. We document the use of the product so it can be showen to the fire Marshall or life safety inspector.

I had to buy this to pass my life safety inspection We placed the master fire in all beams to ensure fire resistance. This product can be layered to increase fire rating. One coat does a 30 minute fire rating.

Thank you for this excellent product. It is very light and easy to apply, and the wood absorbed it completely without leaving any residue. The material was tested using the ignitability test according to BS EN ISO 11925-2:2020, and it performed very well.
