Great for setting inserts and a good value.
This insert tool is great for settings inserts in plastic. It screws into the end of the soldering iron and press into place. This is what I recommend for setting inserts. The fit and quality is good. They heat up very quickly and have a good grip in plastic. A good value for your money and I recommend this product.

Nice set but check Weller compatibility.
Nice set, but one problem - they don't fit in the WEP-70 iron of my Weller WE1010 soldering station. The "standard"? 0.250" diameter is too big and needs to be reduced to about 0.210", leaving a short collar. I was able to do this on my lathe but not everyone will. I see that Ruthex has an insert adapter just for this case - wish I'd known about this incompatibility before.

Wish it was threaded - works great though!
Beautiful set of tips. Work great just what you expect them to be. I wish that there was an option to get these with the inner portion of the insert half threaded. This would help remove inserts as well and the only thing I'm missing from the M3 version I already had....but for inserting only these are great!

Solid and Stable
I think these are better than the screw on type. They heat up fast and feel solid and stable compared to others I have used. So far, no funny odor or discoloration when used at higher temps.
