Fun! Not for kids
I definitely recommend watching a lot of videos before you use this since there are no directions. I did cut my fingers a few times. If you’re determined, you’ll be a pro at it in an hour.

NOT A TOY!! Very dangerous!
My 10 year old son begged me to buy this for him. I didn’t realize how dangerous this was until it arrived! I tested it and we figured out how to use it. I gave him the green light and he used it multiple times with no problems, until this morning. As he was “detracting” it and putting the pin in, it slipped and expanded and hit him right above the eye. The metal is so thin that it cut him and left him with a small welt right above his eye. DO NOT GET THIS FOR KIDS!! Had this hit him a 1/2 inch lower he could have permanently damaged his eye. This is very dangerous and I thought since he learned how to use it he would be fine but accidents happen. He wanted this so bad but after this happened he took it upon himself to throw it in the trash because he knew how serious this could have been. In fact, don’t buy this at all. It’s cheap junk.

Needs alteration to become safer
I didn't know about the fact that people got hurt from usage of this item until after I gave it to my younger sister. I couldn't take it back after already recieving a thank you and a warm hug from her. Which it's rare for me and my family to hug. After seeing it in person after quite some usage, it seems only the end with the white trim is what's sharp. It could definitely use a safety guard or manipulation so the edge isn't so sharp but doesn't interfere with the closing mechanism because if that doesn't work well enough to keep the staff closed, it could open up at random times that the chance of an accident happening is increased too much for me to sleep soundly. I suggest this not be promoted as a toy for children.

Be Careful!
I do not recommend for young kids! I'm rating this 5 stars because it's exactly what I expected, but if you're not familiar with it, you could hurt yourself with this. When it pops open, it is swift and forceful - which it's supposed to be - so be sure not to have either end pointed at yourself or anyone else. I gave this to my brother, who is in his early 20s, and he had a lot of fun with it. Don't buy this for someone you think would jokingly point this at someone - it could accidentally open, and while it won't cause serious injury, it would hurt. Also, it does take some patience to roll back up, so a younger kid would probably not be able to do it or would break it by accident.

Cool until you get hurt
My son saved up his money for couple of weeks to buy this. It was really cool at first. It jumps out of your had a lot and can pop you in the head. He got a cut on his eye brow once, got a bruis under the same eye another time, then he also got a cut on his thigh. Be aware of this product. It's like those slap it bracelets, thin metal with sharp edges.

A good bit of fun.
A cheap prop but a good prop. Fun. Mind the sharp edges and scratching the enamel.

VERY DANGEROUS! USE WITH CAUTION! NOT FOR CHILDREN!
My 10 year old son wanted this because he saw it on TikTok and thought it was super cool. It turned out to be very dangerous in my opinion. When you press the button to open it up it shoots out with great force and speed! If you do this anywhere near a persons face or body it could cause serious injury! Please be aware! I tried it and it almost hit my son in the face! Scared me so much. I immediately threw it away. I should have researched it further and checked the reviews but I didn’t. This wand could be very dangerous if you don’t know how to use it properly. Not intended for children!

Exactly what you think but definitely dangerous.
So I bought this as a prop for some of my D&D sessions. We have a particularly annoying and obnoxious character who uses a staff. I thought this would be a pretty funny way to make him even more obnoxious. Upon first opening it this thing I made the mistake of being too close to the wall, causing it to launch OFF the wall and into my t.v luckily not breaking it. When putting it back together the sharp edges were very difficult to deal with, especially when it began unraveling. Its very important to wear the gloves supplied otherwise you will cut your palm like I did. We managed to get it open 2 more times, each time causing everyone in the room to run for cover. Its fast, its quick, and if your facing one of the edges it can easily put an eye out. The reason why I am rating this 5 stars however is because it is exactly what it says it is and works exactly how it claims to work, albeit a bit more "aggressively" than I had anticipated. Use the gloves, give yourself A LOT of room (especially when first time using it), and NEVER point it at your face. Hopefully yours turns out to be more worthwhile than mine however which is now sitting in one of my drawers like a live hand grenade Im too afraid to touch.
