We originally had a larger version of the Brita water pitcher, but over the years parts kept breaking. We tried to go without a pitcher to filter our water, but we just didn’t like the taste of our tap water. I have arthritis in my hands and wrists, so I was happy to see Brita made a smaller version of their pitcher. The 6 cup size we purchased is much lighter and easier for me to use, and it takes up less room in the refrigerator too. It comes with one advanced filter, but we still have a supply of filters from our old pitcher that we wanted to use up. They fit very well and worked perfectly too in this 6 cup version. I am really enjoying having cold, filtered water again to drink. I couldn’t be happier with the smaller size and the fact we could still use our supply of the older filter. Well made and worth the money.

Love everything about this small water filter pitcher except one thing. There is no little cover over where the water pours out, which is what my old Brita pitcher had. The problem is that fruit flies and other small insects that make their way into the kitchen at certain times of the year can actually get into the drinking water. It’s not a huge deal, but I would rather it had a cover. The things about it that I like are that it is small and takes up very little counter space, it’s aesthetically pleasing, it’s simple in its design, and it has a light that tells you when it’s time to change the filter. Hopefully Brita will come up with a modified design in the future.
