I have another shell type line drawer tool but it makes such a wide line it was unusable. This device allows for a nice fine line over as much of the circumference as you desire. I mark mine about 180* and it works perfectly. Is solid, well machined and anodized aluminum. Quality. TIP: Use a standard (Sharpie) fine point marker. Do not press too hard or it will try and trace the dimples. Try it on a few old balls first to get the hang.

Simple, easy to use golf ball marker. If you’re like me and like the line across either part or the entire circumstance of the ball, look no further. Has a good qualify heft to it unlike the plastic versions for a quarter of the price. Despite the higher cost, it’s worth it for the quality. Highly functional for its job that fits the size of the golf ball perfectly.

Ball fits snug and it’s simple and easy to line your ball. Can even use different colors to make your ball easy to identify.

This golf ball line market kit has the potential to be the best design on the market, but it has a major flaw. Using thick markers creates a line that is off center on the ball. It works fine with thin marking pens but those don't leave a thick line that is easier to use on the putting green. I might experiment by grinding away a little metal so that an ear tag pen or other thicker pen will leave a line dead center, right on the equator of the golf ball. (For reference, a thick line is no wider than 1/16", not a magic marker.)

So easy to use! I’ve tried other things this is the easiest!

It’s just a bad product. It does NOT align through the center of the ball. For comparison, I made another line with a better alignment tool. The faded line in the pics is made with this HODL 21 thing. You can see how off it is.
