Awesome!
This bike dog leash is really great, my dog and I have been using it several times a week for the whole summer. It is very clever. It was very easy to install, is rugged, and very practical. The part that stays with the bike is small and unobtrusive. The pole and leash part snap right into the bike. I clip the leash onto my pup and walk her to my bike. Then I snap the pole onto the bike and we are ready to go! The pole swivels about 180 degrees so the dog can't get in front of the bike or get into the front wheel, but can switch sides as needed. It doesn't impede pedaling at all. I have a wooden back rack, and very occasionally the leash will get hung up on the rack, but the dog can still run, and it's easy to free. I have a 40 pound wheaten terrier that LOVES to run. She gets extremely excited when I ask her if she wants to go biking and pick up this bike leash! We've been riding bikes together for years with me holding her leash, which does work but is a bit tricky and dangerous for both rider and dog. To use the effectively, you want to ride smoothly. You need to telegraph your plans so the dog can anticipate what you are doing. You also have to be mindful to leave the dog room and make sure she has acceptable ground under foot. the dog also has to "get it", you'll likely want to take some time to acclimate your dog to how this works and what her limits of motion are. The leash attaches to the seat post, so if the dog pulls she will pull your bike along but not yank on your arm, you are using your whole body weight to control the dog. We did have one accident using this leash. At the last moment my dog decided to go on the other side of a big steel bollard. I saw her do it out of the corner if my eye, and the next thing I was over the handlebars sprawled on the ground! Neither of us got hurt, which I attribute to the shock cord. The fall was alot easier on her than me! The leash part is attached to a stretchy bungee shock cord in the pole. It has the perfect amount of springiness - normally it feels like a regular unyielding leash. Under severe load it starts to stretch. This makes it safe for the dog. I really love this thing, I think it's a genius design, and well executed! It is very fun to bike with my dog, and we both love it!

Great product, sturdy and reliable
Love it. Love everything about it. Dog got used to it very quickly, perfect length and rotation. Only issue is when dog lunges forward it doesn’t stay in place and turns forward also, but our dog is very strong and reacts to other dogs met on the way. We’re slowly getting her to stop that behavior. Apart from that no complaints. Very reliable.

Great design and product, outstanding customer support
This Easy Ride device makes my dog behave and run better than when manually holding the leash. The internal spring allows my heeler to make pee stops without jerking the bike before I can fully stop. I am able to direct the connector to the rear left because that's when my 50 lb heeler is trained to be and doesn't try to deviate. I took my cousin's crazy pit bull pup for a run with it and the dog was really falling in line, the best hope I could see for him yet. The rod and connector are sturdy without being heavy and is very easy to take off for when you don't need it. It doesn't look stupid like other devices I shopped and was less expensive. 5 months of use after purchase, the quick connect lost its three bearings and would not reattach. I emailed Malabi on Saturday afternoon about it. I was expecting silence, yet Adam replied within 2 hours with apology and explained he was aware of this manufacturing glitch in a select few devices from my lot, said it had since been corrected and he would take care of me. By Monday afternoon I received delivery of a brand new unit and free of charge. Impressed. I'll keep telling my dog-owning friends about this.

AMAZING… WITH A FEW MODIFICATIONS
My dog is a force of nature. She has energy for days and this attachment has been an absolute game changer for us. We bike daily, and I genuinely would be lost without it. As others have experienced, there are kinks to work out. I’ve learned a lot over the years and am happy to share what’s worked best for us: The bike post fastener works best if there’s extra grip added. A local bike shop helped me by wrapping a strip of bike tube around the post so that the clamp stays tight and doesn’t swivel. If it swivels, the bar digs into your leg and is less than pleasant. The strip of rubber that comes with the attachment does not cut it. If your dog is a casual jogger, this might not be needed. If you have a weasel on crack border collie like me, this is essential. She flies at up to 30mph on the downhill roads. I have been through three, because it kept breaking on me. The rope that runs through the extending pole, right where it connects to the shock absorbing section that connects to the dog harness, kept on breaking from friction. My solution, that has made my current one last well over two years, is to wrap that bit of the rope with something tough like gorilla tape. Protects the rope and it’s held up great despite the constant tugging and rubbing up against the metal. For this reason, knowing it’s given out on me before, I bike with a secondary leash attached to my dog and looped around my torso. My dog is not an off leash lady, so I like to have backup just in case it fails while we are out. This also helps if I need to redirect her, and was super helpful during training while she learned to turn with me. Extra control from the leash that I can easily grab if needed. I like her to stay on the right side of me, away from cars, so the 180 degree capability is not appealing and the secondary leash does the trick. Lastly, their customer service is amazing. They’ve gladly replaced every broken unit for me and have been so helpful.

Very well designed product worth the price
At first I wondered if this would be worth the price. Now having used it for a while now, its worth it. I have a medium sized husky and this is one of the most helpful tools I have to exercise my dog. There are days she just wants to jog or run and it is the perfect solution. My dog also has some reactivity when seeing other dogs and I was concerned about my bike getting pulled over. The shock and swing bar mechanism really does work and prevents the bike from falling and allows my dog safe movement without affecting the bike. (I feel a slight tug while the shock and the swing bar keep the dog moving with the bike). I've experienced riding by other dogs/distractions and can keep moving forward and keep my eyes ahead without worry. The leash attachment for the dog works great with the harness we use. All in all, this product is well designed and thought out for safety and ease of use. The product support is also 5 star. I had some initial set up questions and between the video and the feedback from the manufacturer about set up I was able to resolve things quickly. Love this product!

Very high quality construction and easy install
I looked at other attachments to take my very high energy dog for exercise. This one had the highest rating (on Amazon). Super pleased with how well it is made. Very professional. Used it twice since getting it yesterday. My dog loves it and so do I. Very safe. No worry about losing control. Super easy to attach to the bike, even for a challenged mechanic like myself. One detail for some of you. I have an e-bike where the battery is on the rear. This will not pivot like advertised for this situation; just can't do it. However, I did adjust it so the dog stays on my left. You can do right if you like. He can still go from my 8 o'clock on my left to my 10 o'clock. He prefers the 10 o'clock position. Still works great doing the minor e-bike adjustment. Highly recommended if your puppy needs to get those extra energy moments reduced.

Grip to bike is weak but quality of pieces is great
The bar and the easy release work great. The only issue is it attaches to the bike with nuts and bolts that you’re supposed to wrap the inside with a rubber strip so it doesn’t move. If you have a dog that loves running or a pup in training, they will immediately yank the bar to where it smacks you in the back of the leg while you ride and they get all tangled in the bike. The rubber isn’t keeping the rod from turning or moving so it just swings around while we ride. We tried reinforceing it with other types of grip or tape and it is still easy to pull and turn.

Much safer then holding a leash
So far we have had NO issues. Only lightly used so far but is great.
