We discovered we had a mouse problem in our house for the first time in 10 years. I immediately went to Amazon to buy some items to help me solve the problem. I decided on these traps, along with a victor electric shock trap. Barbaric, I know. But you gotta do what you gotta do. I set up multiple of the clamp style traps along with the Victor trap throughout my utility room and laundry room (that’s where I suspected they were entering the house through). Within the first 3 days, one clamp trap alone caught 5 mice, while we never got a single one in the victor trap. All and all these are an A plus in my book and for a fraction of the price. I will be returning my victor trap and keeping these on hand for future uses. We were also able to dispose of the mouse and reset the trap with ease, never having to touch the mouse and with no clean up required. Just push down to release the mouse (which we did into the toilet), then once you clamp back open and it’s locked into place, set back into desired location and you are good to go. We also caught a variety of sizes (some larger and some smaller mice), this trap had no problem at all catching the whole family. The jaws seem incredibly powerful for such a small device. **TIP; when filling the bait cup, make sure to not overfill or it could interfere with setting the trap. I mistakenly overfilled one with peanut butter, and when I pushed down to open the trap it wouldn’t lock in. I thought it was defective, but realized that the peanut butter came up a little too high and put pressure on the plate that engages the trap. So just make sure to keep whatever bait even with the top of the cup.

These work amazingly well. Within a few hours I was able to trap a mice that was running rampant in my apartment all morning. Clean up is a little disgusting but I found putting a plastic bag around the trapped mouse does the trick. It is a bit sensitive to touch so I would avoid having it around children and pets. But, if you live alone or if you can keep it away from animals and pets it does the job very well. Other people I know have used it and had similar results.

These mouse traps are easy to set up and use, and they’ve worked well for what I needed them for. I like that they’re straightforward and don’t require much effort to get them ready. The design is practical, and they seem sturdy enough to reuse. Overall, a good option if you’re looking for simple and effective mouse traps.

This is an amazing product that has an innovating design and works well. Don't be put off by my 4star rating because the only thing I can not attest to is it's reusability because as a food service person seeing it washed in a kitchen sink in the video I got seriously put off as that is unsanitary so, never tried it as a reusable trap since it is not that expensive. Caught the mouse quickly and several after as it is field mouse time! However, a good aged higher smelling cheese crumb works better than peanuts or peanut butter.

So I tried these traps for about 3 days and caught 4 mice in them, two the first night, 1 the second, and one the third from different areas in the house (sorry didnt take any pictures.) I think the only reason we didnt catch more has more to do with the fact we just dont have that many mice (I had already caught 6 with the sticky traps). Anyway these things are easy to bait, just added a tiny amount of peanutbutter to the bait bowl and a couple tiny smears on the inside of the top of the trap to entice them to the back of the trap. Setting it is easy, if you can work a chip clip or a hair clip you can work these. Just keep it upright and squeeze it open so it locks and set it wherever you want. Dont have to worry too much about kids or pets or even snapping yourself because honestly, theres not much force behind these things. Both myself and my girlfriend snapped them on our fingers multiple times.. it doesn't hurt at all really. But apparently its plenty to kill a mouse. All of the mice were caught by the head/back of the neck and killed instantly. (No squeaking and struggling to get out or anything, no need to dispatch them or wait for them to die on their own). Releasing them is easy and touch free. Just pick up the trap and hold it over the trashcan or dumpster and squeeze it open just like a chip clip and the mouse will fall out. You can clean them with hot water, and they seem to be pretty sturdy (for a mouse trap). What I liked most about them is there was never a time the trap was triggered and didnt have a dead mouse in it, and theres never been a time where the sneaky mice stole the peanut butter without triggering the trap. 100% effectiveness so far! I'd also like to add that these are NOT rat traps. They're for mice. This wont kill a rat, atleast not effectively. They make a rat version that's about 3-4 Times this size and a whole lot stronger.

This item has generally good reviews left by others, but my experience with these were less... much less than... satisfactory. I purchased these to catch mice getting into my chicken house at night. I set them up where the mice are entering and in other nearby locations. I have been setting them out everyday for 5 days now. Using peanut butter as bait, I set up all 6 traps every evening. The next morning ALL 6 traps have been triggered but they have NOT caught anything. And, over the last 5 days, I have LOST 2 traps. I think the traps are TOO LIGHTWEIGHT to keep the mice that do get caught from running away with them... and it is sad when the mice are able to steal or run away with the traps I bought to catch them. (My adult kids were laughing when I told them that.) I have seen the mice in my chicken feeders and they are just smaller field mice... nothing too large. While these traps are VERY EASY to bait and set, I wish I DID NOT buy these because they seem much less effective than the old-fashioned wire spring traps I have used during many years past. I am hoping to be allowed to return the remaining ones I have of these, and in the meantime, I have purchased (and am waiting for them to arrive) 4 of the small plastic cube live traps that seem to have positive reviews and also, as extra insurance to avoid defeat again, I purchased Tomcat Mouse Killer Disposable Bait Stations. I hope I have better luck with those because I really don't want to have to return to using the old-fashioned wire spring traps that were effective, but I was always a little scared to handle when setting them out.

These are good mouse traps, but if they are small it won’t catch them. I’ve caught some mice, but they have to be a certain size. I had a real small one literally eating the peanut butter completely out of the small cup of the multiple traps I had set. And the trap did not go off. This is an fyi.

Super easy to use way better than the other traps. These ones you just have to push down add something for them to eat. Then it bites their head off. So it's not really a painful death and I don't feel too bad killing these pesty little jerks.
