Something to grab for a hobbyist and a DIYer
The product is excellent to combine with a U mount clip/clamp of your choice. It was a hidden gem among the individual parts, but it's a must-grab item. Purpose: holding a UV flashlight in place for curing (both automotive windshield repair and hobby-related) Max weight load: 1lb or pushing at 500g U mount/clip: make sure to have a female threaded to receive a male 1/4in screw bolt, something like a "Photography Flashlight Mount Clip with 1/4-20 Thread". The common UV flashlight I use is between 4oz to 1lb. Any more than that, the mount clip will fail to hold going past 90 degree angle. If it's horizontal to verticle at 90 degrees, no issues at all. The suction lasts for around 30 seconds at 1.5lbs on the windshield and clean glass surfaces, and I even add a bit of fluid to maximize the surface-to-surface binding. I tried at least five different surface types, and at least 10 surfaces to see if it's the surface types play a role. Suction on smooth glass surface can fail before smooth ceramic, stone, or metal. Just test the surface suction with a light weight before you entrust your expensive light source to be mount-suction base combo.

Super Cool Project Item!
We bought these to make rear, horizontal fishing rod holders for our suvs. One of the best things about them is the freedom to disassemble the parts connected to the suction cup device. We used zip ties through the existing holes to attach and hold a pvc pipe, reinforced internally by a wooden dowel rod. We then placed pool noodle sections onto the pvc pipe to secure the rods in place.

Its good.
Decent budget suction cup mount. It’s easy to install and the 1/4 screw thread makes it compatible with many dash cams and action cameras. When it’s properly stuck, it holds well on the windshield and is convenient for daily use. However, the suction can be a bit inconsistent over time, and I’ve noticed it may slowly loosen depending on heat and road vibration. It’s fine for light to normal driving, but I wouldn’t fully trust it for long trips or rough conditions without checking it regularly. Overall, good value since it comes in a 2-pack, but stability could be improved.
