Disclaimer: My previous android was the realme X2 which I had used since 2019. Hence, I have limited knowledge regarding other android devices/OS. This review is for those people who want to enjoy the experience of a flagship rather than the game-buffs or the photography enthusiasts. Coming to the phone, Performance: Buttery-smooth. Snapdragon 8 Elite is a premium chip. Transitioning between the apps seems so smooth quite like my iphone 13 if not better which I have been using for the last 2 years. I have played Call of Duty in the max settings and the gameplay is very smooth in both Multiplayer and Battle Royal modes. Camera is awesome though I have not used it much. Battery: I have attached battery SS for reference. The silicone battery gives excellent back-up. Build quality: Build quality is very good, quite like a flagship. The screen seems so premium and fluidy. Storage capacity: I have got the 12 GB + 256 GB variant. System & OS takes around 19 GB. One general photo takes around 8-9 MB space. Connectivity: Have found it good particularly the Wifi as compared to my previous phone. It can catch onto weak wifi signal very strongly. OS: Oxygen OS is awesome. The dual tone color looks good. Verdict: Can easily go for it if you need a flagship device on budget when compared to other brand’s flagships (I got it at 65k).

The OnePlus 13 gives you an allround flagship quality at a reasonable price if you compare with the other brands. The battery is fantastic, lasts a full day with moderate to heavy usage,( taking a lot of photos in daylight, with 5g enabled). The software experience is clean and crisp, with good customisation. Overall a great phone at this price range. The video and sound quality is also great, giving a good experience while consuming media. The calling is great also.

Coming from an iPhone 13, I found iOS to be extremely stable, with the most reliable camera I have ever used. However, it felt boring, restrictive, and backing up photos was honestly a painful process. These reasons led me to switch to Android. After careful consideration, I narrowed my choices down to the OnePlus 13 and the Samsung S24 Ultra. While the S24 Ultra is a bit pricey, the reports of the green line issue concerned me. Ultimately, OnePlus offering a lifetime screen replacement for green line issues sealed the deal for me. My Experience with the OnePlus 13 Display, Haptics, Performance and Fingerprint Sensor: Excellent. No complaints. Feels premium. Battery: Phenomenal. I’m getting around 7 to 9 hours of screen-on time. Charging: The 100W SuperVOOC fast charging powers the 6000mAh battery in just 45 minutes—again, phenomenal. Refresh Rate, Sound, and Feel: All top-notch. It truly feels like a proper flagship. UI: It's clean. I like it. Camera: This is where the device falls short. With the iPhone 13, I never had to worry about picture quality—just point and shoot, and it always delivered excellent results. However, the OnePlus 13 is a bit inconsistent. In good lighting, it performs well, but in low light, it struggles, sometimes producing weird, blurry, ghostly images. I hope this is just a software issue that OnePlus can address with future updates. Unless they improve the camera significantly, it will never truly compete as a flagship. I personally feel OnePlus should ditch the Hasselblad branding and adopt Oppo's camera setup instead. Overall Impression: Coming back to OnePlus 13. While I'm not a gamer, I do take a lot of pictures, and this aspect leaves me wanting more. For someone who doesn't use the camera frequently, the OnePlus 13 will be a fantastic device and will take whatever beating you throw at it. Overall, I’d rate it a solid 4/5 and hope the Camera dept. gets huge budget next year. Edit. (after 3 months of usage). * Fingerprint reader with screen protector is a hit or miss. Being touted as the best, it really disappoints. * Video is very bad. It couldn't lock on to a single subject. Everytime I try to shoot with multiple people, it keeps saying use photo to lock onto single subject. Wth.! * Using the phone without case is a nightmare because of this all side curved edges. You can't hold the phone without touching the bottom edge of the phone. Since we are touching, it won't allow another touch. It's irritating and I had to slap a case on it. * Other things held up great. Battery, Performance, Haptics, OS. All great. (AI is useless. I guess it's useless everywhere). It's still a great phone if you are power user. If you want good quality photos and videos, look elsewhere. 3.5 stars / 5.
