Does this block UV damage?

Yes. Rain exposure will however cause it to wear off, so use several coats (4 or 5). You may have to sand/refinish annually, but this is likely going to be the case for all outdoor finishes.

I opened my can and it is white and as thick as yogurt. Is this normal?

Yep!... just make sure you stir it well. My rule of thumb is 10 clockwise, 10 times counterclockwise, then repeat 10 times. It will loosen up a little but remain white. When you apply (if you apply smoothly and thinly) no white should be apparent.

Can this be used on raw wood, stained wood and, painted surfaces all in the exterior application?

I have used it on painted furniture and stained furniture outdoors. The front door and the swing both were covered but exposed to wind and rain only win storms blew it in. It’s a great product.
