Great piece for walk cane
Itโs well made and seems like it will last. It has versatility to be used in different territoryโs Smooth or rough terrain. Hard part is forming you piece to fit it correctly, but it can be done with a little practice and measurements.

A bit of class added as a finishing touch.
I have out of necessity had to start using a cain or staff. I like making my own and like a touch of class added to my regular cain. The medium kit was too large for my cains diameter, but easily trimed it down in length so it fit the smaller diameter. Easy adaption for the thinner cain. Excellent value.

Excellent product, but not the best deal.
Rockler continues to make quality products, and this hardware kit is no exception. Everything fit together perfectly, the instructions were easy to follow, and the finished result feels secure and durable. The ferrule provides excellent traction, and the threaded hardware made assembly simple. If youโre making your own walking stick, this kit takes a lot of the guesswork out of it. My only complaint is a lack of different size variations. The same tip is sold on Treeline in 3 sizes and chrome finished options.

Excellent Quality, Durable
Have used these for more than 5 years on several walking sticks. The spike works great on dirt trails. Tighten the screw-on rubber tip so it does not loosen while using.

High quality material used
You get what you pay for. Iโm giving this a 5 star rating because in my opinion itโs a high quality product. Looking forward to fitting it on my cane. Perfect size and fit too ๐

The rubber boot will come off.
Generally I feel good about the purchase straight forward install directions, BUT rubber foot came loose and I lost it, so I used the other one that I purchased for another project and that one also the rubber foot came loose, thankful for the fact it happened at a supermarket and I didn't loose that one, so there's something there about the rubber foot coming off. Lastly there's no replacement for the foot on it's own.....? I don't want to purchase a complete set .....set is on the pricey side @ almost $ 25.00. need a replacement foot but not paying $25 for it. Should sell these by themselves as a replacement item due to use.

Dual use walking stick\cane Tip
This is the Best dual use hiking stick\cane tip on the market! It has three parts, and comes in three Sizes. (Small, Medium, & Large) There is a rubber foot \tip, an Alpine Spike, which screws into the wood, and a brass or chrome ferrule that fits on the bottom of the stick \ cane. It has a hole in the bottom where the Alpine Spike fits through. The rubber tip is well supported inside, and screws on the upper part of the Alpine Spike. Providing secure traction. The Alpine Spike is covered by the rubber foot\tip. When required the foot can be unscrewed and the Alpine Spike used in inclement weather, deep soil or sand where the spike is required. Once back on a surface where the spike will mar it, the foot can be secured in place. Most if not all of the other rubber tips can not be secured on the bottom of the stick. They are pressed on and can be knocked or pop off. With the metal tips alone they are hard to keep covered, and you can not use them on a surface they could mar, or not able to grip.
