ProMark Rebound ActiveGrip R5AAG 5A Drumsticks, Acorn Tip, Black

These are used for practice on an electric kit.Ordinarily I might not go for sticky sticks... but the requirement within the house was for grip not risk!Some of the sticky has come off after some use, but I find them easy and nice to use for practice.Would I use them for gigging? Maybe. Obviously they're lighter sticks and aren't going to work well for medium/heavier styles.Very happy with them over all, and I'd buy them again for my particular light use case.Five stars.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best sticks I've ever owned.Yes, the coating does come off after a few heavy gigs - but I'm yet to find drumsticks that are comfortable where this doesn't happen. Oh, and I did have a defective pair that broke (one stick) within 24 hours - but this was easily solved by Amazon.In terms of weight, they're well balanced and ideal for Roland V-Drums. The coating doesn't get too rubbery and end up causing blisters - which is a huge advantage over similar sticks from other brands. I cannot recommend these sticks enough for any digital drummers.

I'm getting back into a bit of drumming after 30+ years and have bought a few different brands of 5A sticks. I bought these Promarks because I used that brand all those years ago (influenced, as I was, by my admiration for the drumming of Neil Peart). These sticks are made from hickory and have a coating (called Activegrip(TM)) that's claimed to become (deliberately) sticky when the hands get sweaty. I've not used them for long enough to properly assess that claim, but they certainly seem more secure in my hands than other sticks without such a coating. Individually, the sticks have a good feel and balance in use, but there is a bit of a difference between the two. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was, so weighed them on some kitchen scales. Whereas my other sticks differ in weight no more than 2-3 grams across each pair, these are WAY different ... one stick weighs 48g whereas the other weighs 58g! I feel that ~20% difference when using them. There were also some white marks on the sticks when they arrived. These seemed to be embedded into the coating material. I managed to scratch most of it off, and it is only cosmetic, but it was still a bit annoying. All in all, I was a bit disappointed. This may (or may not) have contributed to me mostly reaching for my pair of Vic Firths when I want to do a bit of practice.

I love these sticks, I have several pairs. They feel great, look great & they don't slide around. I will be using these from now on.

My daughter appears to prefer these over other brands and weights. She plays a LOT and these last a good while before disintegrating!

I haven't tested them yet but I believe that due to them being promark they will be 10/10

Sticks are great to play with nicely weighted and responsiveGrip does wear through but still works greatSticks on average last me 4 gigs before snapping, I’m getting through these sticks way too quickly, had one stick snap within 10 minutes, will be going back to Vic Firth from now on
