I have honestly notice a big difference ever since I switched over my 20 gal tank to this filter. The water stays clearer for longer. It’s easy to set up. Downsides are that the some of the filtration parts are tedious to clean but overall it’s convenient and worth it because it cleans pretty well. It’s relatively quiet unless you have a low water level otherwise you can barely hear it. Happy with the price I paid for the product over all would buy again

I love this filter. It was a solution to a big problem. I have a large turtle and his indoor winter enclosure is a tank and in between the heat lamp and the sunshine the water would turn green in less than a week. I was constantly draining it and refilling it and that's a problem with 75 gallons. But this filter system keeps the water crystal clear. Still it does Gunk up with his poop but I can siphon that out. I usually do change the water about once every 2 months now which is a blessing over what I was doing.

i've always struggled with having a good quality, long lasting turtle tank filter. This one is the best one I've had in a while. It is not too loud very durable and easy to clean.

I just bought this item. It had already stopped working, but I fixed it. I am not sure how long it will remain working. There is a white shaft that supports the electric motor, that fell and broke into two. This actually helped me more than hurt, because the motor had stopped spinning, but it was because the shaft was not in both the top and bottom rubber supports causing it to stop spinning and getting stuck against the side magnetically. I affixed the two pieces of the shaft one into the top and one into the bottom rubber holder which actually made the process easier because the shaft that came with my unit just wasn't long enough to sit easily into each of the rubber holders. I am sure there is a joke in there somewhere. It is working well, but I would say it lacks a bit of durability and the manufacturer needs to make sure that the motor shafts are proper size.

Filter worked great for the first few weeks until the suctions wouldn’t stay in place causing it to keep slipping into the water. Overtime even with replacement filters and maintaining the tank it wasn’t as efficient as it was and then it was difficult finding the right filters. UV light cracked during a cleaning but shortly after it was replaced the top cover no longer latched which there for the UV light floats up and it’s more of a waterfall than a tank filter.

This is the best filter I've ever had!! I have own turtles for the last 20 years, I wish I'd had this filter the whole time!! This last year has been the best year when it comes to keeping the tank clean!! It is wonderful! In fact I was having problems with a fish tank and I used it in the fish tank for just a short period of time and it cleared it up within 15 minutes I was totally amazed! I placed it back with my turtles now but if I can find one that's like this for a fish tank that can be submerged I'd buy it in a heartbeat!!

I chose this filter based on positive reviews. I'm glad I did. Filter is super quiet and doesn't take up a lot of room. Since MC turtle was already due for maintenance I did a complete water change and installed the filter at the same time. Water is crystal clear and she's very happy playing under the waterfall. I highly recommend.

We use this filter almost fully submerged in our turtle tank. I like that you can turn the flow down to knock less floating food into the water. It’s working better than other style that we’ve tried. Since we have a 30gl tank, we did over-size so I’m not sure how it would keep up in a larger tank.
