Great book for beginners
If you are a beginner, this is the book for you. This book covers the introduction to the guitar and if you use it, and practice, you should be able to learn to play. You may not be the next superstar, but you can learn how to play the guitar.

An Excellent resource
I have used the complete version for over 10 years teaching guitar students. It is easy to use as a teacher and it has many helpful points for the beginning guitarist. I highly recommend it. I've just ordered the spiral bound version because I want to use it for many more years.

Well worth the money, I would highly recommend the book.
Great instruction musical guitar book. Has clear photos to see were to should place your fingers on the fretboard. Primarily you learn the strings first and each of their notes, then move onto the chords. If you want to spend an additional $10 get the audio lessons that are included, that come with a code in the book, it is very helpful and you can download it onto a smart phone and then practice with the music. practice, practice, practice.

Worth the Money to Get It All in One Volume
As a beginner, if there was only one music book I could take traveling with my guitar and myself, it would be this complete version containing all three volumes of the series. A great general guitar book that lays flat and contains starting info on playing guitar: chords, music theory, reading music, TABS, and it has a large collection of sheet music to learn and practice on. All in one book.

Excellent layout, concise & thorough
Guitar Method Complete Edition, contains books 1, 2 & 3 in one spiral bound volume. The methodology is well thought out. Right away the lessons begin with chords and single notes. Each lesson is clearly explained, with pictures for proper fingering. It is an excellent resource for beginners who wish to have formal training at a fraction of the price by learning at home. Highly recommended!

A Great Source for Beginners to Develop Guitar-Playing Skills in a Systematic Way
This is quite an old book now, but has stood the test of time, mainly because it is structured in a manner that does not swamp the beginner with too much detail all at once, but progressively introduces new material alongside the consolidation of what has already been studied. Consequently, I suspect that many experienced guitarists, such as myself, have recommended it to others, over several generations, thus making it a worthy means of evolving guitar-playing skills, which still retains great credibility today.
