LEasy to Use and Sturdy – Great Lighting Modifier!
The Glow EZ Lock Quick Octa Large is fantastic! It’s super easy to set up and take down thanks to the quick-lock system. The octa shape provides beautiful, soft, and even lighting, perfect for portraits and video work. The build feels sturdy and durable, and the size is just right for versatile use. Definitely a must-have for anyone serious about lighting!

Quick, durable, effective
I'll compare this item to the Godox softbox that I bought for half the price. The Godox started to get some tears after a few months and it was impossible to disassemble without potentially breaking it. Still, it boasted a great price if you intended to leave it set up in the studio. The Glow EZ is the softbox you want for travel and outdoor work. It's similar to bringing around an umbrella and it sets up about as easily. It's massive, so the light is beautiful and soft. It has a little reflector you can attach to the center that eliminates the hotspot from the strobe. That's great if you care about even lighting on someone's face. The grid it comes with is essential for controlling where the light hits. It's a huge light source, so without a grid it will wash over everything. Sometimes that's what you want, but you've got the option of creating a more dramatic look. The picture I'm uploading is a test shot I did while using it for the first time. Those are just some wrinkled curtains in the background and I didn't bother using a rimlight, but this pic should still give you an idea of the quality of light you can expect

The fastest to setup / breakdown Octobox ever.
I am an idiot. Even though I’ve had a little 36? 37? inch Glow Octobox that I have adored for years… When it was time to step up to a 48, I didn’t even think to check if Glow made one. Oops. I bought two other trusted brand boxes, both advertising “sUPeR fAsT sETuP!!!” and then receiving a traditional, “slide the pins into the little pockets and pray they don’t fall out” ancient style boxes that you have to fiddle with every time you set them up. Accidentally grab the frame and pull it out of the material? Congrats you just added 15 minutes to your setup time, and now you get to reassemble your softbox while clients are waiting. After finally realizing “hey maybe Glow makes a big one?” and grabbing this, it’s a dream come true for the guys who set up and breakdown multiple times daily. It has a zipper on the side so you can stick your hand in the box to collapse it instead of awkwardly shoving your hand through the Velcro / diffusion layer to get it closed. High quality material, price is right on par with the others. Even if I had a more permanent studio environment I’d STILL get this beast over the others. You never know what kind of shooter you’ll be in a few years. Might as well get one with portability.

Quick is the key word here...time saver softboxes
I was tired of struggling with assembling my previous soft boxes with rods just before on on-site photoshoot. They were heavy and just too much trouble. These quick soft boxes are light, in the various sizes that I need, and super fast to flip open. I replaced all my soft boxes with Glow EZ lock quick soft boxes. Super time saver. You'll want to ensure you also get a bracket for Bowens mount soft boxes. I use Godox S2 Speedlite brackets.

Love it
So far, all has worked very well. As with anything, if you abuse it , it won't last. It's well made in my opinion and works like a rain umbrella. Easy to pop open and close down just take your time and realize that, just like your camera, things are fragile and if you rush or just don't pay attention, you may damage the rods. For the price, it beats the Rapid box by far and I have 2 of the rapid boxes as well because they are made with the same principle of opening and closing BUT....They are much more expensive and if you want a grid for a rapid box, you pay dearly for it. That being said, I really like this product and would recommend it to any beginner or pro. For the price, it can't be beat. AS A SIDE NOTE: On December 4th , I purchased the Glow EZ Lock Quick Octa Large Softbox on Amazon but it was sold and delivered by Adorama. I bought 2 of them and they were delivered 2 days later. One of the packages had the wrong accessory package in it and the diffuser’s, where the wrong size. They must have pulled the wrong accessory package when packing for shipping.. After contacting the Adorama and explaining the issue, sending pictures and my proof of purchase, I had little faith things would work out because in 99% of the cases, customer service is nonexistent anymore. I was totally wrong about Adorama. THEY CAME THROUGH!!!. I was kind of worried because they wanted me to keep the original package and bar code and I didn’t have it because when I opened the first box and all was perfect, I only opened the Soft box on the second package, just to make sure the mechanism worked right but didn’t try the grid, or the diffusers and assumed all was good and cut up the boxes. Only when I went to use the second softbox did I realize the problem. BUT….Adorama took care of the issue correctly and today I received my correct diffusers and my Christmas photo shoots can go on as planned. Thank you Adorama for your customer service and getting my situation straight. I don’t regret going through Amazon because I have Prime and their credit card so it makes life easy and I truly will only buy my photography equipment from Adorama from now on, whether direct purchase or through Amazon but it’s going to be Adorama without a doubt.

easy set up but the velcro needs help
Works great, I love glow products and I love how fast we can set these up. The only complaint I have is the velcro seems to shed quite a bit. I worry about the plastic threads because they are pretty stiff and could maybe embed into the skin as we work with a lot of gymnasts who are barefoot. When I take the diffusion fabric off the hard little loops fly off everywhere. Other than that it's a great soft box, and the price is right.

Great large box
Great box all around. Very large but not too deep. Excelent light modifier for portraits.

Easy to use, nice light
Great light. I'm a beginner with studio lighting but it's so easy to use and wonderful light dispersement. Used for a portable studio for graduation headshots and they came out great.
