Gaviscon changes my life
Quick note: there are two types of Gaviscon, the cheaper one that they sell in the US, and this one that I think is imported from Canada. This is the one that works. The US version is essentially Tums. Gaviscon has improved my quality of life, end of story. I've tried all kinds of heartburn medications, but nothing has worked as well as Gaviscon. It is more expensive than other medications like Tums, Pepto Bismol, and many others, but it actually stops heartburn. Now I take it before bed if I'm even a little nervous my GERD will flair up. It doesn't taste the best (or the worst for that matter). It sort of foams in your mouth as you chew it, but that's because it's creating a barrier between your stomach acid and esophagus essentially blocking any acid from even reaching anywhere that will cause issues. If you struggle with GERD, I highly recommend giving this a shot.

This has helped my GERD symptoms, especially in the evening before going to sleep.

Works but at what cost?
It works but the texture is really gross. It also gave me terrible diarrhea after only 1 day of using it. Turns out they use a type magnesium that acts as a laxative :( wish I continue using it but the side effects aren’t worth it for me. Worth a try though if you are suffering from GERD.

Works really well, but the texture and taste are absolutely horrible. There’s no way to change the texture though. What makes it work is what makes it difficult to swallow

It really works
When your prescription fails, this stuff is amazing. A doctor friend of mine actually turned me on to it. be sure to get the one with thee foaming ALGAE in it... First ingredient listed! I share this product with everyone I know that has gastric reflux
