What are the size and weight guidelines - what size is best for medium size dogs 40-50 lbs?

I buy the small size for my German Shepherd who is 65 lbs. I give them to her as an evening snack along with a few mini biscuits. You get more of the sticks in the package, so the supply lasts 18 days. I noticed the large size recommends 1 stick per day for dogs under 50 lbs, and two sticks per day for over 50 lbs.
