Do the planets spin as they orbit?

Thank you for your question. The model does not depict the axial spin of the planets, only the annual orbits around the sun. Thanks for asking!

Do the moons spin around the planets?

Hello,Thank you for your question. On this model the moons are stationary about the planets and do not spin.

Do you have to put this together?

Hello, Assembly takes a mere 3 minutes. -- Honestly, a smart seven-year-old could do it. When it is fully together and working ... you'll smile. Enjoy!

What are the dimensions and how much space is needed to allow for a full rotation at the widest point?

Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. The solar system stands 14” high and spans an orbital diameter of 22", so you would need a 22" clearance to allow for the orbit of Pluto to complete a full rotation. If stationary and not operating, a 11-12" space will accommodate display.
