If you have a spare 80 minutes....
Not bad - some parts were a tad "bad-taste" for me, but overall enjoyable... To be honest, I was hooked by the guy on the front cover looking all cool, confident and sexy...he's nothing like that in the film though as he plays the stereotyped confused boy, Troy (from Illinois!) However, his performance is quite endearing throughout (and the full frontal helps as well!) Tiffany, Gwen and Kyle return from the first film and, if only for the fact that she looks way better than she did in the first film, Tiffany steals the show. So main objective is to get Kyle with Troy by causing them to spend time with one another but of course - as with the first film - the direct route is overlooked in favour of some over-complicated plot that is doomed to fail before it starts... The plot in this case is to pose Kyle as an x-gay who now has a girlfriend in the form of Tiffany. As Troy thinks he is gay but is confused about whether he really wants to bat for that team hearing that Kyle has "overcome" his inner queen is music to his ears. There also happens to be a support group calling themselves "Coming In" that is there to help gay men become straight. So, Kyle in the guise of reformed `Mo accompanies Troy to one of these meetings and....well, if you like the sound of it thus far go ahead and click buy to find out what happens next... I think it's fair to say that it's more "full on" than the first film and watching the uber cute Brett Chukerman (who plays Marc) and Marco Dapper (Troy) get it on is sheer heaven to watch and will probably be the scene that ensures I check the film out again soon... So reasons to watch: eye candy getting in on with eye candy - raises a few smiles aaaaaand...more eye candy!

Not such a sloppy second helping
'Sweet', 'sexy' and 'good-natured' - those are the best adjectives to sum up this film. Grittily realistic it certainly is not but the film also has enough genuine warmth, whimsy and irreverent comedy to stop it being maudlin. The likeable and sweet-natured, if flawed, characters inhabit the sort of gentle idealised 'Friends-like' universe which, yes doesn't really exist, but into which it's nice to escape every now and again. The premise, though quite simple, is effectively worked through and there are some clever bits of linkage and an impressive amount of attention to detail. The acting is generally pretty good too with the comic timing and the facial expressions providing for me the most laughs (some of the verbal jokes are a wee bit lame). The obvious fun that the actors had making the movie also works in its favour. I look forward to watching it again sometime.

Light romp.
Funny in a zany and obvious way, but it was ok for a very light-hearted laugh. Marco Dapper as Troy was (and is!) outstanding eye candy! It's a long, long time since I have seen such a very handsome new actor on disc or on our screens. He slightly over-played the new kid on the college block part, but with his appeal, he's forgiven.

The Eating Out movies are silly and unbelievable. A straight guy lets a gay man please him orally as long as he listens to a woman on the phone talking dirty to him? Please. The entire series is far-fetched and the creators intended them that way. But there is much hilarity in these films--especially this one--the second in the series. Rebekah Kochon appears in all five movies, but the last two only feature her in a brief scene. In this movie, she is absolutely hilarious! She literally steals the show--so much so that she received head billing in the next (third) one. (And she was very funny in the third movie, but her best performance is in this one.) A nonsensical plot, many sexy guys, and a hilarious woman are what you have here. If that appeals to you, then check it out. Side note: the first movie featured Ryan Carnes from "Desperate Housewives", but he declined to do any further movies in the series. Enter Brett Chukerman in the same role in this movie. Brett is very sexy and he actually is probably the best actor in this film. You may know him now as one of the Hosts on Home Shopping Channel (HSN). I guess he's still "acting", but selling products at the same time.

I liked the original Eating Out, and 2 is even more fun and I swear the guys are even better looking! Sequals usually tend to be a bit of a disappointment, but this one hits the mark right on. Or in this case the "Kyle". WOW! But aside from him the movie is well made, outrageous, fun and a great evenings entertainment. Can't wait for #3: Menage a Trois!

I love all 3 (so far) Eating Out films. This one is my favorite. It's very funny and light hearted. It's also very hot. It's got a good cast, some terrific jokes and a lot of heart. That sounds cliche' but it's true. Just a very fun film. The fact that it's plain fun is it's greatest aspect. Disembodied-A short film by Sam Mills Disembodied-A short film by Sam Mills

Pretty good movie and laughed many times. The new Caleb was alright, preferred the previous one, but the new guy made up for it. Will be buying the next one. :)

A friend introduced me to the first Eating Out film a few years ago and I embraced it, although not as much as he did. I liked the film, but it wasn't up to par even by independent-gay-comedy standards. I enjoyed it enough, but when I saw that there was a sequel available I was pretty sure it was just cashing in on the first film's success and would be even worse. By my calculations, this would should have been a terrible film. I won't go into total detail with the plot, although it is as crazy as the first film. Kyle and Marc are breaking up. New guy Troy (a nude model for Kyle's art class) isn't sure what orientation he is. Returning from the first film, Tiffani and Gwen convince Kyle he should pretend to be an ex-gay to get Marc in the sack. He goes along with the plot, no matter how unsure, and hilarity ensues. What is better here, though, is the filmmakers have a better hold on what is happening on-screen. I was completely surprised that almost immediately I started cracking up. This is the Empire Strikes Back, Aliens, or Godfather 2 of gay comedies. The script is better, the acting is more confident and assured (although you can tell Marco Dapper as Troy is a newcomer), and the direction moves the story along so well that I was never thinking it should have been more or less. The replacement of Ryan Carnes (no matter how hot he is) as Marc is a smart one. The new Marc, played by Brett Chukerman, is better even though I resisted it at first. Over the course of the movie his charm came through. Honestly, the sequel could be a stand alone film as you don't necessarily need to know the happenings of the first film to get into this one, but it does help. It may not have been a blockbuster, or the best next hit indie film, or the even the next big gay film. But those of us who seek out smart and hilarious entertainment for our homo film collections should pick this one up, no matter your feelings about the original. I loved it from start to finish. It made the first film seem like our own first time: Uncomfortable, embarassing, and unsure. The second time around we know what we're doing. The film is no different.
