I have to think back to 1967 and my ill-advised purchase of an Alfa Giulia Super to recall a more disappointing product. It is almost impossible to get into my Havahart trap if applied as directed, even a little rain dissolves it away, in warm weather it dries out, and, most importantly, squirrels ignore it even if attractively arranged on a pile of black oil sunflower seeds and corn topped with an apple slice garnished with half an ounce of this product (per instructions). They don't even give it a sniff. They simply hop up onto the trap and use it as a launchpad to our bird feeder--filled with the same bird food mix I used as bait.

Very effective bait for squirrels, and easy to use. While other items can be used for bait, this has been very effective with single application and we're often able to trade a single baited stick application for a catch, and has been a great part of our yard clearing of aggressive squirrels. Very recommended.

Note Weight 4.5 ounces, the pictures are deceiving, I thought I was getting a 1-pound container. Literally the size of two shot glasses. Will update review when I see if it works with these horribly damaging ground squirrel, racoons, foxes or possums. Hopefully, our local nuisance bear won't tear the trap up. All wildlife have discovered they LOVE our chickens--gone from 50 to less than a dozen since the tree crashed into their pen.

I have lured squirrels to traps with this but I am not sure how effective it is vs curious squirrels. It is not a very strong smell. It smells sweat it sticks to the bait plate well. I have caught two squirrels, so it works well enough.

We have two different live traps put in separate areas of our yard and many rabbits. We have tried this with cabbage leaves twice and put it on apple slices. I have watched rabbits run right by without even looking.

I needed a bait to trap some squirrels that found their way in my attack. I caught them in a box trap and turned them loose in a woods far enough away so that they won't find their way back to my attic. The bait worked better than anything I've tried.
