Great product, clean ingredients from a reputable brand
Found this brand at a local natural pet store- clean ingredients at a great value. The low-fat formulation is great for my dog that suffers from pancreatitis.

Thankful for this product!
After doing much research on my 13 year old mini dachshunds GI issues & unable to afford all at once a diagnosis from my vet, I decided this was the best option to try. My vet would not give a prescription diet unless I brought her in & that involves a lot of funds for testing that I do not have. My dog will vomit yellow bile after years of eating kibble, table scraps along with a home cooked meal for dinner. This last month has been at its very worst. Is it Chronic enteropathies, pancreatitis, IBD or some other GI issue I cannot confirm without seeing my vet. So therefore what can I do? Well it's a long slow process, but the first thing is hydration with a rest of no food for 12-24 hrs. Provide a bland diet of boiled & rinsed turkey or chicken breast with slightly over cooked white rice & 100% pumpkin puree NOT pie filling. Break the meals up to 4-6 tiny portions instead of their normal feeding routine. Once the symptoms have subsided try adding 25% or less of this food softened with warm water once a day. "Please inspect this kibble first as it may contain small pieces of fish bones." Bones can happen in any commercial pet food & human foods as well. If no symptoms over the next few days increase the amount slowly for at least 2 weeks. Slow transition is key to not stress out the dogs digestive system along with under 10% fat dry matter. You may need to repeat the process if symptoms return. This has been working for my fur baby & I hope if your in a similar situation that my experience explained in this review may be of some help you. Always speak with your pets vet first! Lastly thank you so much Square pets for making a non-prescription food that is accessible, affordable & a safe alternative for pets. I would give 10 stars if I could!

great food, picture of feeding guide does not match package
Be aware that the recommended feeding amount shown dues not match what is on the package. I was feeding my 80 lb dog according to the picture shown here. It said 3 1/2 cups. My dog was so hungry. I read the actual bag i received. It recommended 4 1/2 to 5 cups. Once i feed the correct amount my dog's health improved. He was diagnosed with pancreatitis. He is on the mend thanks to Squarepet.

💗 this brand
There are two dog food brand I feel confident feeing my babies and this is one of them. I have fed other lines of kibble within this brand such as the “Ideal Digestion” food and my dogs love it. I am surprised my dogs both loved the “Low Fat Formula” as much as they did. This food is not only great if you have a small, pancreatitis prone dog- it’s also great for dogs with poultry allergies as my one dog has. Freeze dried raw dog food is too high in protein for a smaller dog and lead to problems with diarrhea, weight gain and gas. This food isn’t overly high in protein or fat which is great. I recommend giving this brand a try.
