These are awesome cameras, I bought 3 x5's for Gaussian Splatting and the x5 works great. I love that I can replace the lenses myself if they break or get scratched up. BUY YOUR OWN, GOOD SD CARDS! I did have an error about slow speeds with the SanDisk Extreme, but never any issues with the Extreme Pro. This only happened when shooting in 8k 30 and 5.7k 60... The low light sensors are almost as good as the one rs 360 1 inch version, but these are more water resistant, and I seem way more durable while being much lighter. Color and image quality is good, but there is still a hint of stitching even in post, so watch for that! All of that weight adds up on the end of a selfie stick, and this is much more portable then the 1inch model. Overall, this is a great camera, and a good price point!

As someone who produces video content for both personaand commercial use, I've worked with nearly every major action and 360° camera system on the market. The Insta360 X5 is the first one that truly bridges the gap between convenience and professional-grade results. Let's start with image quality. The 8K resolution paired with the bigger sensors delivers exceptionally clean footage, even in mixed lighting. I've used it for outdoor shoots, indoor interviews, and low-light environments, and the footage consistently holds up. Colors are accurate, dynamic range is surprisingly strong for a camera this size, and the PureVideo mode is a genuine leap forward in nighttime performance. What really makes the X5 stand out, though, is the post-production flexibility. With 360 capture, I can shoot first and choose my framing later. Yes, it's basicly Insta360's slogan, but it's a slogan that's actually true. This functionality (which is inherent in 360° cameras) is invaluable during run-and-gun shoots where reshoots aren't .an option. Insta360 Studio has matured into a powerful, reliable editing tool, and the mobile app is fast becoming a go-to when I need to deliver social-ready content quickly. Audio has also seen a big step up. The built-in micsare far more usable now, with better clarity and less wind distortion-a major win for those of us tryiing to minimize gear on the go.

I have owned many Insta360 cameras. The Insta360 X5 is by far my favorite so far. Image quality is exceptional. Battery life is really impressive too. I've used the X4 extensively, and that one had pretty decent battery life as well. But the X5 blows it out of the water. The stabilization is insane. No matter what you do, it will always look stable. Also, the phone app is really really really good. Hands down one of the best apps I've ever used, and it's free! It makes editing super fun and easy for someone that doesn't have an editing background. Pros: 8K resolution Durable (they say it has stronger lenses) Battery life Surprisingly good editing options Cons: more expensive than other action cameras File sizes: 8K videos eat up storage (get a high-capacity microSD card or the Insta360+ cloud service) Beginners might find the learning curve steep, but the payoff in creativity is huge. If you're serious about 360 content or vlogging, the X5 is worth every penny. 100% recommend!!

Because it’s small and lightweight, I’ve found myself carrying it on trips where I probably would have left larger equipment at home. One feature I’ve used repeatedly is the invisible selfie stick effect. During a recent hike, I captured footage that looked like it was filmed by another person walking beside me. When friends saw the finished video, several asked if I had hired someone to follow me on the trail. That’s the kind of perspective that’s difficult to achieve with a traditional action camera. The stabilization is outstanding. Whether walking rocky trails, riding on rough roads, or filming while moving through a campsite, the footage remains remarkably smooth without requiring extra equipment. Combined with the horizon leveling, the finished videos look far more polished than the effort required to capture them. I was also able to test it in less-than-perfect conditions. For someone who regularly edits photos and videos, that’s a bigger advantage than it might sound. I also appreciate the compatibility with different mounting options and accessories. Whether mounted on a selfie stick, attached to a vehicle, carried by hand, or used while walking, the camera adapts easily to different situations without requiring complicated setup changes. After several outdoor trips, what stands out most is how often I reach for this camera first. It’s small enough to always have with me, rugged enough for outdoor use, simple enough to operate quickly, and versatile enough to capture shots that would normally require multiple cameras. For documenting adventures, travel, and everyday experiences, it’s become one of the most useful pieces of gear in my camera bag.

Ich habe insgesamt 6 aktuelle 360°-Kameras anderer (ausschliesslich namhafter) Markenhersteller getestet und ständig für wechselnede Aufgaben im Einsatz. Ich muss sagen, die Insta360 X5 ist die beste Rundumkamera, die ich bislang verwendet habe. Die schnelle Einsatzbereitschaft, die lange Akku-Laufzeit, die Sensorauflösung und das Verhalten bei lichtschwachen Aufnahmesituationen überzeuigen mich jedes mal. Auch die Möglichkeit, die Linsen relativ einfach wechseln zu können (was bei mir bei dieser Kamara allerdings noch nicht nötig war), ist für mich ein nicht zu unterschätzender positiver Faktor. Ich wünschte, 2 meiner anderen Geräte hätten die Möglichkeit. Es macht einfach Spass, mit diesem Aufnahmegerät zu arbeiten.

La stabilizzazione è uno dei punti di forza assoluti: anche con movimenti bruschi e vibrazioni continue tipiche del volo in parapendio, i video risultano stabili e privi di scossoni fastidiosi. Il selfie stick invisibile è una trovata geniale che permette riprese aeree dall'aspetto professionale senza che l'asta compaia nell'inquadratura. L'autonomia di 3 ore dichiarata è più che sufficiente per la maggior parte delle attività outdoor. Il design in bianco satinato è elegante e moderno, conferendo alla camera un aspetto premium che la distingue dalla massa. L'unico piccolo neo estetico riguarda le eventuali batterie aggiuntive o di terze parti nere che contrastano visivamente con il corpo bianco della camera, ma si tratta di un dettaglio puramente estetico che non inficia minimamente le prestazioni. Gli obiettivi sono facilmente sostituibili in caso di danni accidentali, caratteristica apprezzabile per chi la usa in ambienti estremi. Un investimento importante ma assolutamente giustificato per chi vuole portare a casa ricordi straordinari delle proprie avventure.

Very disappointed with this purchase!!! The package arrived without any outer plastic seal, and it looked like it had already been opened or used before. The camera does not function at all. The screen turns on, but it only displays a black screen with no image . I tried multiple times to restart the camera and even removed and reinstalled the battery, but the issue remained unchanged. The product appears to be defective and used, and I expected to receive a brand-new, fully functional item.
