Great for beaks bad for talons.
Works great for beginners in shaving down sharp beaks and shaping them. Small birds not big.As for nails I do not recommend using it on talons. There is an enough of a gap between the grinder and guard that my bird’s talon got caught and stuck. The grinder did stop right away as a safly feature but I think I will stick with clippers on that one.

Great for parrots 🦜
This has worked great with by parrots nail trims and beaks. Not too loud and the light helps with seeing the quick in the nails so you don't hurt them. Used on our conure, goffins cockatoo, severe macaw, and Indian Ringneck to give you an idea of use.

Light is on the wrong side
Seems great however the light is on the wrong side so it’s quite useless as I bought it specifically for the light to shine on the nail .

Bird Approved!
This thing is great! I love that it has guards on it so that you can keep the beak in one place while you use it. It was very easy to use and worked great for my cockatiel who doesn't like to upkeep his own beak. He's usually fiesty when I take him out (he does not like coming out of his cage and usually just bites me) but he seemed to calm down when I turned the drill on. He did bite the drill a little but once it touched his beak he just sort of stopped, haha. He did start to grip it in his beak at one point, but the drill just stopped moving which was great!! I thought he had gotten hung on it or something so I turned it off to get him free, but no, he was just clenched onto it for some reason. He hasn't been messing with his beak since I put him back in his cage, even though usually he throws a little fit when I trim his beak because I only had nail clippers (I know that's bad, that's why I bought this!) and it made his beak sharp. This device made his beak smooth still, so he didn't have to rush to smooth it out himself. He also doesn't seem angry at all that I did it, which is also different, because he's usually full of anger after I get him out for any reason. Happy bird loves this drill!
