I give the Coolpad's functionality 1 star and the stand's quality 5 stars. Even though the cooling pad is placed right behind my laptop's CPU-GPU, it doesn't cause any change in temperature. But the stand is of high quality and made of good materials.

I bought this for my sons and am really impressed by it's design. I have another from office but a different brand so I can do see the difference. The rotating feature is definitely a game changer I see how much my son enjoy this. Also this helps for his bodys posture. The semiconductor fan is unbelievable cold. ❄️. Overall feel is very sturdy .Defintely a Great buy!

I saw a few reviews where people are complaining, and the photos show that its user error. I almost made the same mistake they did, removing the screws to try to attach the cooler permanently to the stand, but thankfully I realized early on that was the wrong way to put it on. It just drops right into the holes in the stand, and the springs push it up so it can make contact with the laptop. My MacBook Pro m5 pro usually idles around 99F, but with the cooler it was getting down to 85-88F. Now when I say that the bad reviews are user error, im not talking about fan issues. There are no tools required for assembly, just drop it into the holes in the stand. Don’t make the same mistake I almost did.

Works well for what it’s advertised for, if your laptop chasis is metal I’d advise to also use a 1mm thermal pad to better bridge the connection from the heat source. If you’re looking for a cooler for your MacBook Air this is a great option. Tested with 58 pictures (48 Megapixels each) and saw zero throttle. My Mac is also modded with another thermal pad inside as well.

I bought this for my MacBook Pro hoping it would reduce thermal throttling and I’m thrilled with how it’s working so far. The build quality is good and the peltier cooler is way more effective than fans alone. My Mac stays around 32 Celsius at idle with the 20w cooling mode so I’m not too worried about condensation. At max load the cooler keeps my Mac from throttling entirely which is exactly what I’d wanted from this product. Would buy again.
