This is a case of you get what you pay for
This is the third powered usb hub I've ordered I won't even go into what kind of junk i got the last two times. So this time I eat the bullet and tripled what I was willing to pay and finally i got one that does what it's supposed to without overheating. I've been using it for about a year now and the biggest issue I've come across so far is a couple of my older travel style external drives that get power from the usb cable only will prevent windows from seeing any other hard drivers conneted to the hub, but it's only happened with my older drives, I've got a couple of newer ones that work fine with the hub. I've got five external hard drives going through the hub right now (3 with their own power source) and requires far more juice than anything else connected but I've had no problems with any of them (the cheap powered hubs could only and two self powered external drives at best) even with all the drives i can still do a slow charge on my Samsung tablet and pixel 4a phone (it's not a "fast charging" but it's still pretty quick). Actually, so far I've not been able to do anything to make it crashing short of an actual power outage. I know this model is a little on the small side as far as number of ports go but combined with the usb port's in the computer case I've yet to fill them all. I wasn't sure about the four dedicated charge port's at first but between my smart watch, Bluetooth headset, and random household appliances that all charge off USB I'm always using at least two full time so it's actually a really great feature. The hub it self is much bigger than the cheap ones and it's own USB cable is heavy enough to pull it off a desk if its on a corner but I've never noticed the hub run hot so the heavier material's must be doing their job. To that's a small price to pay (i actually had a cheap one get so hot i burned my hand) the power cord for the hub also takes up bit of space at the outlet as well but considering the number of devices it's been able to handle that's also easy for me to forgive. Overall all i could have actually saved money if i had just paid the extra money for this first. I keep one of the cheap ones around just so i can show people how much difference there is between a crappy cheap one and a more expensive good one. I honestly can't recommend this product enough and unless you have a need for 30 ports on the regular or a bunch of old travel hard drives (made say 5+ years ago) this hub should work for just about anyone's needs.

Colorful Lightweight Connection
So far, I find this hub to be very useful. It's much lighter in weight than I thought it would be. It is very well constructed, and provides a slew of USB ports for wireless connections or charging electronics. Each port is lit in either a blue (Keyboard, mouse, etc) or red (Charging or powering devices) hue connection. Each port can be turned on or off individually simply by pushing the on/off button next to it. It goes a long way towards freeing up ports on your computer. I have my laptop elevated on a stand and this bar fits right underneath it hidden away from sight, thus keeping all of those wires hidden from sight.

Sturdy
I haven't run any performance tests, so I can't comment on that aspect as yet. No connectivity issues or problems reading and writing from drives. As far as construction and functionality, this is a solid hub. It has 7 USB 3.0 ports and 4 charging ports. All of the USB and 3 of the charging ports are switched, with an always-on charging port on the end. The switch/buttons have a 2-second hold to turn off, which I think is smart. It might be nice if there was a master switch for all of the ports, but it's not a deal breaker. The cables are beefy and the supplied power brick has a detached AC cable which is a lot more convenient than the "wall wart" type. The body of the unit appears to be metal with a high-gloss coating. My only complaint is that the rubber feet on the bottom are so thin that they don't contact with anything, thus the unit can slide around. You can see in the photos how thin they are that they aren't functional as feet. Either put thicker feet on the bottom or have a rubberized body, which I think would look better than the high-gloss coating, which shows smudges and fingerprints easily. The price is pretty competitive with similar offerings on Amazon.

Good product. Like the on off feature.
Good product. It has a wall cord and usb attached but if plugged into the wall it seems to then not connect to my PC and needs to be unplugged from the wall. Not a dealbreaker still a good product though I actually purchased because I liked having the two types of power inputs that I now dont use since i would have to plug and unplug and makes it unnecessary.

Works great, very happy customer.
Eliminated the problems I was having with my keyboard in a non powered USB hub, nice to be able to turn off unused ports. Fast shipping and this time the power supply was actually included, very small footprint.

Supports both USB speeds with color.
Loved this product, it has both high speed USB and standard ports, USB A, with bright colors that are easily seen. The blue highlight ports are your higher speed with red being the standard USB A. Great product.

Works well, seems well made
This product was a replacement for an IXCC hub who's power source randomly popped and died in the middle of work one day. At first glance the power supply looks much more robust and reliable than my previous hub. The button controlling each port (on or off) are less tactile but they feel more durable. The plastic case is shiny on top and has good fit and finish. This unit feels like it is made well and should hold up well. Data connectivity is limited to the 7 lower ports and the 4 upper ports are charge only. While I would have liked to have all the ports have connectivity, 7 ports is the same number I had before so no loss. I got good throughput and was able to connect 4 hard drives and 3 USB keys at the same time. All this while charging a iPhone and iPad at 2.34w each (measured by external usb dongles). I am very happy with this purchase and would buy another if needed. If I were to give feedback to the designers, I would make the USB to Computer cable replaceable and perhaps make a version with no lights. All in all a great hub. Will follow up on this review if anything changes.

I LOVE THIS POWERED HUB, I'M NOW MASTER OF ALL I SURVEY WHEN AT MY DESK!
The bane of any PC power user is needing more than two or three USB ports that come on notebook computers, and the horrors of horrors, is not having enough power to run all the contraptions I have connected to the PC or hub. The blessing has been powered hubs that have plenty of power to run external devices, charge batteries, and at the same time keep constant the power going to each port. I did a lot of research to find the right powered USB hub to act as a trusted sidekick to my current PC setup. I needed power to charge devices such as cell phones. I needed level power to operate my external 2.5 external hard drive (and I did not want some cheap Chinese crap that might fry my hard disk), I needed LOTS of PORTS and LOTS of POWER. Above all else, I needed the power monitored, steady, and correct because I'm super concerned about cheap electronics frying the memory sticks and hard discs connected to this powered hub. With this hub I feel safe and my data is secure, and not in danger of being corrupted. As a bonus this hub comes with four "smart charging" ports. I use those ports to charge my cell phones. IMO the ports and this hub function the same as my flagship Samsung phone's fast chargers. I'm very pleased with the performance of the hub in this regard. Yes, this costs a bit more than that fake Chinese crap that you can buy for $10. But that old saying applies to this device: "You get what you pay for."

Solo funcionó dos semanas
Solo sirvió dos semanas. Luego ya no funcionó. No conectaba nada y no tengo idea de qué fue lo que pasó.
