Retro Fighters D6 Dreamcast Wireless Controller for Switch/PC/Dreamcast, White

I was after a good fighting controller for my Dreamcast, and this seemed like it. On first use, I was a little alarmed. The d-pad clicks at each of the 8 direction points to register a press, and I couldn't pull off a dragon punch at all. It took a while, but now I'd say I can do them with the same (if not slightly better) regularity as an analogue stick (3 out 4). Other actions are much easier, though 180s also took a bit of getting used to. Basically, give it some time. It's different to other controllers so first use impressions perhaps aren't the best. After a while, it starts to click.

The D6 Dreamcast has become my new favorite 2D retro game controller. While it's clear that many people will gravitate toward it for fighting games, it might not be the right fit for everyone. If you're expecting the smooth, fluid travel of a typical floating membrane pad (like an M30), I wouldn't recommend the D6, as it probably won’t meet your expectations. While it works well enough for fighting games, there's a bit of an adjustment period. The controller is extremely precise because of the microswitches, which means your movements need to be more deliberate. You can still chain hadoukens, but the feel is different from what you might be used to with a membrane style pad. The microswitches on the D-pad have a fantastic feeling, providing a satisfying click with each press. Personally, I find this controller to be perfect for 2D platformers and retro games and my new main controller for that use case. I actually prefer it over the M30, which can sometimes miss inputs, something the D6 doesn't have trouble with. It’s an awesome controller for emulation, where every input counts. The face buttons and shoulder buttons have a nice feel to them and very responsive. The build quality is excellent, easily one of the best Retro Fighters has put out. However, the D-pad will be a point of contention with players. Some will love the precision and satisfying click, while others might wish for a looser, membrane-style feel. If you're looking to use this for more than just fighting games, I highly recommend it. Plus, the D-pad can emulate an analog stick (LS/RS) on PC, Dreamcast, and Switch, so you can use it for analog games as well.

Este Retro Fighters D6 es una auténtica maravilla, no solo tiene una presentación ejemplar, su calidad de construcción, sus botones, su cruceta y sus extras, una maravilla super preciso a la hora de ejecutar combos sin fallar ni un sólo imput, un polling rate más que suficiente para competir en Fighting games (llega a 500hz en modo wired)en resumen, un mando dedicado genial y duro rival del Octa (no Pro)

ストリートファイター６での利用を想定して購入 十字キーにマイクロスイッチ搭載という珍しい製品だったので、ストロークが浅い分切り返しなどの入力が早くなるのでは？と期待して購入 しかし、十字キーが思った以上に固くて結局入力に時間がかかってしまうという結果に マイクロスイッチによるストロークの浅さに関しては文句無しで、入力位置がカチッとした感覚で分かるので横抜けも減りコマンドは安定しました レビュー動画を見ると十字キーの押下圧は200g前後、同じマイクロスイッチを使っているらしいフェイスボタンの押下圧は100g前後らしいので、意図的に重くしているのか構造上どうしても重くなってしまうのかはわかりませんが、本当に十字キーがもっと軽ければ最高だったと思います 十字キーの話ばかりになってしまいましたが、それ以外の部分に関しては文句無しです フェイスボタンは反応が早くて入力しやすく、パッド自体の握り心地も良くて使いやすいです あと十字キーが固い固いと言っていますが、格ゲーみたいにせわしなくカチャカチャと動かし続けるゲームでもなければまったく気にならないと思うので、単純に用途によるという部分はあります

ドリキャスのアスキーパッド風コントローラー。あくまで風。 方向パッドと6ボタンがカチカチ言うマイクロスイッチ、トリガーは多分タクトスイッチ。 斜め方向は２つスイッチを押し込む都合、ちょっと固い気がする。 PCで使う場合は、Bluetoothではく独自ドングル。 しっかりしていて品質感があり、所有欲が満たされる。 STGで使った感じは、押した感があって良かったが、連射に慣れが要る。 格ゲーはやってないので不明なものの、サタパとは似て非なる、サタパとネオジオパッドの間の子のような存在なので注意。
