A fun way to train pinch grip
I've been watching John Call's (aka Jujimufu) YouTube channel a lot lately and it has piqued my interest in grip training. As a result, I purchased both the "rolling thunder" and the "hub" from IronMind. The latter (of which this review concerns) emulates pinching classic York plates by the hub and lifting them. The first time I tried, 30 lbs was a struggle (I weigh a mere 145 lbs at 5 ft 7 in for reference's sake), but after couple of weeks of consistent training, I'm already up to 40 lbs - and I intend to keep progressing as long as I can. Thanks Juji - and Tom, too - for turning me on to this fun training implement. :)

Just what it looks like
This is exactly as advertised. It arrived before I expected and performs just as I'd hoped. You will need your own loading apparatus; a loading pin and carabiner is easiest, but DIY works just fine. This particular pinch doesn't have the most carryover to general grip, but it's a fun addition.
