Real Steel [Blu-ray]

CSで放映されてたのを観て、大好きだったのにソフト買ってないなと思い購入。 ものすごく好みなストーリーでヒュー・ジャックマンもダメ親を演じてますが若くてカッコよくてビジュアルも良いです BD黎明期はこのようなDVDメインでパッケージもDVD準拠ですがBDがおまけにつく仕様でしたね これ系は中古はお安くなってるのでBDパッケージに執着がなければお得にゲットできます。

どーしてもまた見たくなって、ポチッとしちゃいました。 「ジョン・カーター」といい、本作といい、この頃のディズニー実写は、完成度の高い 意欲作が多かったと思います。劇場の評価は高くなかったのがどうにもくやしい。 正に傑作です。素直に拍手を送ります。ひとりスタンディング・オベーションです。 CG、すばらしい出来です。もうほとんど違和感ないですね。 ここからやがてアベンジャーズのような大CG 映画へと進歩していくのがよくわかります。 まあ、とにかくスゴイから。 近未来でもなくて、もしもちょっと先にロボットによるボクシングがあったら という設定で作られた、"ロッキー"のロボット版です。 そこにディズニー大好きテーマ"パパは強い"的な親子のつながりを入れてきますが、 これがいやらしくなくていい。振りも効いてるし、みてて違和感なく入っていける作りも良心的。 で、いろいろ出てくるロボットたちがまたパシフィックリムにも出てきそうな個性豊かでかっこいい!! 全身漢字だらけの日本製なのかな?往年のスターロボットとか出てきますが、 ボッコボコにやられちゃったりしてます。迫力満点!よく出来てます。 また、主役が"アトム"という名前なのには、日本人ならやられた感バリバリでしょう。 ヒュー・ジャックマン、ウルバリンですが、情けないだめ親父っぷりを全開で演じています。 それが効いて、最後、やはり魅せてくれます!!!見事!! 気がつくとやっぱり手に汗にぎって応援してしまう、そしてまたこの興奮と感動を味わいたくなる そんな珠玉の一品です。

泣ける映画 good!

有名な日本の某ロボットと同じ3文字の名前のロボットが出てくるので 興味を惹かれて観ましたが 別に何か繋がりがある訳でもなし 特別面白い訳でも無いが、つまらないとも言い切れない 無難な感じかなと

何回見ても飽きず何回見ても泣ける感動する！涙活にももってこいだと思います。 親子の絆と諦めない心や強さや勇気を出す大切さ色々感じられる映画です

｢ロッキーシリーズ｣に燃えた世代は胸を熱くし、｢ガンダムシリーズ｣を信奉するメカ好きは見事なCGに心を踊らせ、｢家族愛ドラマ｣に弱い親達は父子の絆に涙する。 本作は、実はかなり上質なヒューマン･ドラマなのだが、ロボット･ボクシングのハイテク感がどうしても子供向けに映りやすいので損したかも知れない。でも、行き当たりばったりのヤサグレ人生だったヒュー･ジャックマン演じるチャーリー･ケントンが、父に見捨てられ母をも失った息子マックスとの再開と、ボクサー時代の輝きを信じてジムを守る恋人ベイリーの支えにより再生していくストーリーは、それだけで一つの映画が出来る濃厚さ。特にそれぞれの孤独を抱える三人の演技は自然で清々しく、テンポも良くて気持ちいい。そこに近未来ロボットの格闘エンタメを味付けしたのが本作だ。 また、旧き善きアメリカンドリームへの憧憬を嫌味なく取り上げたのが本作の特色だ。健気に闘う旧式スパーリング用ロボットATOMと王者ゼウスとの壮絶な死闘はロッキーとアポロのオマージュだし、息子との関係修復や広大な原野を旅するトラックは、同じくシルベスター･スタローン主演のアームレスリングを描いた｢オーバー･ザ･トップ｣のコンボイ野郎のオマージュで、そのストレートなリスペクトには｢これがアメリカだ｣と開き直った潔さすら感じられ、それも悪くない。 その他にも、趣向を凝らした闘技場や個性的なロボット達、南部WASPの悪役と黒人賭博胴元の対立、闘技の日本発祥設定が判るドーム前のガンダム像やアジア人デザイナーなど、細かな作り込みや遊びが満載で、そのサービス精神旺盛さにお腹一杯だ。 最近ブーム感のあるAIリスクを感じない、純粋ロボットに感情移入できる懐かしさが堪らない。 ベイリーに｢あなたなら出来る｣と励まされて闘う父チャーリー、その姿を見つめるマックスは何度観ても涙に抗えない。色々な意味でノスタルジーと先進技術をヒューマンドラマに上手く融合させたセンスが素晴らしく、幅広い層の方に愉しんで貰える名作です。

好きな映画で、今回何度も見られるので、楽しみです。

親子のつながりの感動とロボット格闘のかっこよさがすごい

This one of our family favorites. Jackman is great as Charlie, an ex-pugilist and hapless opportunist (with a good heart buried in there somewhere), turned owner-operator of a robot boxer. The robot boxers are huge finely-tuned remote-controlled robots that now dominate the boxing ring, and the movie makes them appear very real. Evangeline Lilly is beautiful and convincing as Bailey who still believes in Charlie, but is becoming fed-up with his get-rich-quick schemes. Kevin Durand steals the scenes he has as Charlie's rival/nemesis, and Anthony Mackie does a great job as the streetwise fight promoter. I let my 8 and 11 y.o. sons watch this movie and they love it. There is a tiny bit of rough language, and only a brief and subtle sexual inuendo between Charlie and Bailey, when just back in from the road Charlie jokingly says to her, "I need a shower. Bailey, you want to take a shower?" She laughingly rebuffs him of course, and there is no physical intimacy displayed between the two of them. At one point after giving up custody of his son because he realizes he has endangered him, an emotionally and physically drained Charlie returns to Bailey and lays next to her and sleeps in a very caring and respectful way. The next morning they share a single kiss and as Charlie prepares to leave again to go to his son, Bailey remarks, "You came a long way for just one kiss", indicating that that's all that happened. Also, there is a fist-fight scene when people come to collect a debt from Charlie that may be scary for younger kids 8 and under. IMHO, compared to the risque' and deviant themes some movies foist upoin our kids these days, Real Steal is very tolerable in that regard and delivers a fast-paced story with heart and good special effects, and we meet a variety of characters along the way. In the end we see the fruits of the efforts of a father and son who find each other and a place in the world together. At the heart of this story are themes of the value of loyalty, family, contrition, courage, accepting responsibility and taking initiative on your beliefs and dreams. In the end and even with all his faults, Charlie, who is never really portrayed as a hero, learns to be a better man and father. And it's all done against the back-drop of giant brawling robots!!! My kids keep asking when the sequel is coming....

good movie

Magari facessero anche il 2ndo!! Ma sembra che Real Steel 2 non è in progetto, peccato, perché ci sarebbero tutte le premesse per una continuazione del film. Straconsigliato!!!

On the surface this has all the potential makings of a really bad film: stupid CGI robots fighting each other in a jumbled blurry mess, an annoying kid, a predictable storyline, inappropriate Danny Elfman score, and a comedic director. But somehow this isn't the case at all. The robots look terrific and completely believable, and have a fluid motion to them (none of that crappy Michael Bay editing). The would-be annoying kid is actually not annoying at all and can act. Danny Elfman's score is unrecognisable as a Danny Elfman score and is subtle and moving. The story is still predictable right from the start, but it's been highly polished. Hugh Jackman gives a solid believable performance which I liked, and Evangeline Lilly provides the slightly underused romantic interest. The ending...yes, it's schmaltzy (as was always going to be the case), but not in a bad way. It's hard for me to fault this film. If I was nitpicking, I'd say the performance of the "bad woman" (Farra Lemkova, played by Olga Fonda) was campy and over the top. There are also a couple of obvious continuity flaws in the editing department (mostly around Hugh Jackman's hand and face positions between cuts). But none of this detracts from the sheer enjoyment of watching this movie. I expected a lot worse, and was pleasantly surprised. I like that when it happens. Technically, this Bluray gets full marks across the board. The film was apparently shot digitally, and it shows: the picture quality is crisp and clean, the colours are vibrant, and the details are just staggering - this is probably one of the best live-action transfers I've seen to date. Soundwise, no complaints either. I really couldn't imagine seeing this on DVD, it just wouldn't do the visuals any justice. Highly recommended.
