SRAM Nx Eagle Dub Groupset (Rear Der, Trigger Shifter W Clamp, Crankset Dub 12S W Dm 32T X-Sync Chain Ring, Chain 126 Left 12S, Cassette Xg-1230 11-50T, Chaingap Gauge):

I replaced a Shimano 3x8 with a SRAM NX 1x12. My wife loves her Marin Mill Valley Alp 2002 and didn't want a new bike even though she was struggling with the triple chain-ring derailleur. I proposed an upgrade to a SRAM 1x similar to my new road bike. The upgrade went well and I was amazed that the 12-cog NX cassette slotted onto the hub that previously held the 8-cog Shimano cassette - no hub change needed. I replaced the bottom bracket with a SRAM DUB BSA-threaded, and this also went well. Work-stand testing was good. On the road (under power) the 11T cog suffered chain skipping. This was solved by grinding excess material from the perimeter of the hub end-cap. My wife was delighted with the drive train upgrade. The NX is designed for MTBs and for a road bike my wife needed more speed. I increased the top speed by replacing the standard 32T chain-ring with a 38T ring. She is now looking for even more speed so a larger chain ring is imminent. Delighted so far.

First things first, let me get the disappointments out of the way…the derailleur adjustment tool was cheap fragile plastic which snapped on first use, snapped under very little pressure. Also when cutting the shifter cable down to size, there are no cable end caps supplied with the shifter cable, so was disappointed at having to purchase a 56 piece bag of end caps just for the sake of needing only 1!! Won’t shift to gears 11-12, but I believe that’s due to a bent hanger. I commute to work 3 days over 100km a week on a Specialised Crosstrail Sport, mixed terrain, roads, canal paths (cobbled and gravel), mostly flat, highest climb is only 5% and for the past 6 years the factory fitted 3x8 Shimano has become worn out. This upgrade was easy enough, if you have the right tools. The shifting is smooth, quiet. The drive is effortless. Feel like I need to swap the 32T chainring for something larger to provide more top speed whilst on the roads because the 32T spins out at around 15mph, which is too slow.

Great price for a good groupset. As provided, this group is for non-boost bikes (comes with a 6mm offset chainring) but I made it boost by swapping the chainring for a 3mm offset to get boost 52mm chainline. Works great! Comes with everything you need except bb. Now just need to wait for winter to be over…

Muy buena, fácil de instalar, hay que comprar aparte el rodamiento de resto lo incluye todo, cambio notable en mi bicicleta que es una barata de Decathlon. Las marchas cambian excelente casi de inmediato y sin sonidos extraños, lo único es que por lo menos para mi la corona de 32 dientes me queda corta y rara vez he necesitado usar el piñon de 50 dientes.
