Perfect worth the extra money this is a good quality item

Siphon works well. Recommended: apply food-grade silicone grease to the piston for easy use and a better vacuum seal. with out it piston sticks and does not slide smoothly

It worked well woth my 1gal carboy, and it was easy to use. A word of caution though. I had to get a replacement do to a manufacturing defect in the original that left a pinhole in the seal, preventing functionality. Amazon took care of it though, and the replacement works well.
