Is it a one time use or can you fix multiple chips?

You can really only use the whole thing once, but I did use some of the extra.. glue? to fix a couple other small chips in the windshield.

Has anyone tried using this fix a small pit on their windshield? Would a drop of resin, then curing improve this?

I have used it on a ding in my new windshield. It works well if you follow the instructions perfectly. I can still see a tiny pit, but it stopped the crack from growing.

Has anyone tried using this on a cracked smartphone screen?

That would be very unwise to use it on your phone. Not only would it not work very well but you'll damage the internal components of the phone when the liquid leaks/sqirts internally. The windshield is multiple layers of glass when this tool is used correctly you're fixing the outer layer of glass and the inner layer which is hard to tell but it's actually not cracked therefore fluid doesn't leak all the way through the glass in the automotive case. In the case of doing it on your phone if it's cracked you're going to leak fluid right into the phone by using this pressurized system.

Does it have to be a certain temperature to use this?

No, but you do need to have UV light or sunlight to cure it. As long as it’s not freezing you should be able to get the liquid resin down into the chip.
