Dimensions Paint by Number, Wolf Among Birches

Love doing these as an escape from screen time. Watch your effort turn to art. Excellent winter activity. Easy enough for older kids and a great gift for home bound “older kids.”

I bought this picture of the wolf for my 10 year old daughter who loves animals but has never painted by number. Shw works on it a couple of hours a week, which is the part of this review I feel is important. The paint wells seal tightly with a snap can, and are all connected by a ring that doesn't allow them to be separated and lost. She can open them at her leisure and stop when she likes. The quality of the kit is great because the paint is well designed and remember to wash the brush after each use. Even when she let it dry after a few days she was able to clean it under warm water and get going again. For the amount of pleasure she gets and the price of this painting, it is well worth the effort to buy this product.

I bought this as a gift so I can't comment on the quality of the paint. As an artist, the brush looks decent with a wonderful tapered tip so that should make it easy to fill in the smallest spots. I think the picture is lovely, but you can also see that too. For the price, it feels to be totally worth it! (As long as the paint is good quality...I'll update it if she tells me the quality is poor.)

This was a very good painting to do as I was just getting back into paint-by numbers. Able to have it matted and framed. You will have to mix paints with this and I had acrylic paint left over to do touch up projects, etc. Very happy with this product.

I wanted a windows activity for after work, something to do in my spare time so I didn’t fall victim to sitting on the couch and watching tv until bedtime. I’m crafty, I enjoy painting, drawing and crocheting but I can’t remember the last time I’ve done a paint by number I’d say this kit is good for a beginner. The only thing that makes it intermediate is having to mix the paints to get certain colors for different areas. I decided to try and paint the fur more realistically so it will take more time. I like this one because you can really customize it if you wanted to and you had a supply of paint of your own outside the ones provided with the kit. I may order this one again in the future to play around with

Cool picture to paint but felt cheap

This is great, it was the first one I tried - smaller than the other ones, yes it's on cardboard and not canvas but that made it easier to paint and put where I want it, the finish has canvas texture. I found the paint of very good quality and I like that I had to mix the paints, allowed for some creativity. I found the paints and the brush to be of better quality than other do it yourself kits. There were plenty of paint and I have some left over. I don't remember but I think this came with a palette to mix paints on (I didn't know and I bought one separately that still didn't arrive yet).

Not worth the money, not a proper canvas just a piece cardboard and it’s tiny. Really disappointed.
