I fool myself into thinking I'm having an alcoholic beverage. Love the flavor. Don't miss the alcohol!

I bought this as a replacement for Sambuca/Uozo/Absinthe which I used to pour over ice with a bit of water. Here’s about how I’m using it now: 2 parts ice 2 parts soda water 1 part 1883 Anise syrup How close is it? Well, I’m 13 years sober and I’d rate this somewhere close to a good N/A beer. In fact, much like N/A beer, I would recommend not drinking this with less than 3-5 years of sobriety. It’s good, I’m very happy with it, but not recommended for someone newly sober as it could be triggering.

The bottle was very well wrapped. I love anise syrup and this one is even more special bc it’s made in my hometown of Chambéry in the French alps: a little bit of home away from home

Impossible to find French anise syrup in the US, I ended up finding it on Amazon. It is delicious, one of the best French brands, too bad it is sold at such a high price in the US.
